The Leafs would have gotten wrecked against this Vegas team.

AHL Vs NHL difference between the two teams in terms of effort level, quality, and coaching. It's not even close.

Tkachuk is such an embarrassment out there. Kindergarten antics.

I really wish somebody in the media out there just goes and asks him

"hey tkachuk if you are not having fun, why even play"

can play the game any way they want.... speed, skill, grit, toughness, I mean there back end is massive....

I have more faith in Tre than the fraud dubas to get the mix right and team composition to handle different kinds of game. Treliving even addressed as such i forget whether it was on tsn or sportsnet

Dubas knew better, built the softest Leafs roster ever!

The leaf organization has been run as if it were a basketball organization since Dubas took over. "The core 4", playing 20-25 mins a night, the basketball clothing rules, the Mickey mouse shirts and top hats... The big contracts and the thank you letters to fans. It seems that Dubas was auditioning to be the NHL commissioner rather than getting the Leafs to win a cup.

Dubas thought he was building the Harlem Globetrotters.

Actually love Vegas' team build.

Huge D-core that can handle an elite forecheck, yet very mobile. Heavy wingers that play north-south and can score from distance. An energy 4th line that can actually skate and place with high pace. Their smallest forward plays like our toughest. Cassidy is a dream fit for them.

They've insulated Eichel perfectly. Take notes.

Maybe the fact that they were the worse team in almost every game vs Carolina and Toronto finally manifested itself in the results. They look the same, getting dominated night in night out. Their way of winning seemed unsustainable. Hopefully they get swept, mocked, humiliated, destroyed, dismayed, etc.

Maurice said the extra rest was good for the team, great for Bobrovsky too...:sarcasm:

Refs are being mean to the Panthers

The guy has 10 goals in his last 11 playoff games, but of course Matthews and Marner are better...Matthews and Marner each earn about twice as much money as Marchessault.
No they both make "more" than twice as much money as he does. Can you believe there are fans on this board who argue that Marner and his 40' shot distance was acceptable because he's a "playmaker".

To be fair to the Panthers, they are playing exactly how the Panthers play. In the first three rounds, they go away with a lot more. Now the calls are tighter.

In my opinion, games should be called consistently, from game one of the regular season, to the end of the playoffs. To me this is a problem.

It slanted the playing field towards the Panthers in the first three rounds and now is working against them. Note, I’m not saying this as an excuse for them winning rounds, or getting killed here… more just general comments about what is bush league officiating at every level.. from refs, to DoPs. Be consistent, however you do it.

Vegas is scoring these goals because they are all the f*** over Florida. If Leafs or anybody else were able to break down Florida D like Vegas it would have been lights out for Florida much earlier. Leafs couldn’t get it going against Florida D and forecheck

This Florida team isn’t playing at all like there were prior to that week off. They can’t make passes, are getting nothing done and the goaltending is bad. Credit to Vegas for sure, but the way Florida is playing today, all of Boston, Carolina and us would beat them if we played them again.

I hope Vegas pulls through, would give me some peace, since even if we beat Florida and Carolina, we probably would not have beaten Vegas in the finals.

In fact, the only saving grace I've gotten in the last 10 years, is teams that have beaten us in the playoffs never won the cup that year, makes me feel a little better.

Life's great when you're goaltender goes on an unsustainable heater

Not so enjoyable when he turns back into a pumpkin though

Bob plays like this that team isn't getting past Boston let alone getting to the finals

I don't care who you are, if you aren't getting the saves you are royally ******

So true. Beating the Leafs almost guarantees you a Cup Final, but every team that beat Toronto was doomed in the end.
