Babcock was let go at the right time. Leafs were wasting a year if they continued with Babcock. Everything that has happened after that just shows players were a problem but Babcock was as well. Even though the team overall didn't achieve what they wanted after him, it doesn't make the Babcock firing a mistake.I think Babcock is an excellent hire for the Blue Jackets.
In hindsight -- and maybe not so much -- I think he got punted way too early here in Toronto.
Gaudreau's morning was likely ruined lol. Getting away from Sutter asap and signing in a quite market just for this to happen.
Will probably be one of the most entertaining storylines of next season, if Babs manages to win back his reputation or just fizzles out.
I do wish NHL GMs would eventually learn there's more coaches out there than the same 30-35 recycled names
I don't disagree. There were certain things he did which stagnated the team and neutered its best players.Babcock was let go at the right time. all that Florida weather rejuvenated the man! lolEric Staal? What year is it?
I expect Babcock will do well in Columbus.
Especially if he's used his time off to do some self-reflection and checks his titanic ego.
