My favourite part of this game is Florida fans realizing the games are fixed; but, spending no braincells to analyze how they were advantaged similarly.

Feels so good to see Vegas take the boot to Florida and also win on cheap calls. And Sam Bennett and Tkachuk getting hauled off to detention. Man, Bennett is a real piece of shit the way he throws those cheap shot punches at guys.

Vegas plays the right way.
Fast, north-south, nothing too fancy, take the body, drive hard to the net, fire lots of pucks on net.
Very well balanced team that can play any style when the game turns.

Their blueline is also exactly the kind of 6 man unit you need to win with. High skill, length defending, physical, can't be intimidated on a forecheck. Quick, efficient, clean plays.

No idea what the president of hockey ops with Fenway Group is watching to think there's a market inefficiency with small blueliners.

While it will be disapointing that the knights could win a cup in their 6th year of existence

Defibately prefer them over the panthers

The meme for when Eichel gets a cup before McDavid and Matthews is twenty years away, but I know who I’m rooting for.

Pittsburgh Penguins

Speaking of Dubas, Friedman says he has received a lengthy contract from the Penguins, who hired him as president of hockey operations last week.

"From what I understand, it's big term. I think it's seven years for Dubas to be the president of hockey operations and interim GM of the Pittsburgh Penguins," Friedman said.

Babcock is a good coach. The handful of people that spoke out against him doesn't imply that everyone he ever coached was sour towards him as if babcock is some sith lord.

hell in dubas' 1st year as GM they had Auston mooning a security guard in arizona.

Lou and Babcock were building a culture of accountability with growing pains that would have brought in mental toughness IMO instead of what they ended up becoming.

Can't cry over spilled milk now but IMO we would have had a lot more success had Lou remained the GM and Babcock the coach with the Leafs.
I mean noted playoff warrior Johan Franzen had his mind literally broken by Babcock, not to mention his ego trip over Mike Modano and Spezza (both hockey players known as consummate pros)

Carlo Colaiacovo during his short term on the red wings: Guys hated him, tried to get him fired every year.

He said the leaders of the team (Stanley cup champions) tried to get him fired every year.

said the Marner story was just scratching the surface on how he acted with players and didn't treat them with respect.

Filpulla refused to waive his NTC to go to Toronto because of Babcock.

Chris Chelios said he was a douchebag too.

Seems like a lot of respected people think he was a Sith Lord indeed

why is everyone complaining about the refs..we were told leaf fans shouldn't complain when the refs f*** the leafs after Maurice throws up gang signs

There’s a lot of things we aren’t allowed to do. It is what it is.

It’d be nice to hear a ‘thanks for paying’ every once in a while.

Just think, how Wes McCauley and Dan O'Rourke could possibly call a zero penalty game against the Panthers with the way they call the game (a stanley cup final) tonite.

Bennet and tkachuk and gudas pulling the same cheap shit they always do, except they actually got penalized for it this time. Go figure.

League is crooked as shit but I’m glad they’re not getting dollars out of the GTA they could be. Screwed themselves! And screw Florida.

Many complete players on Vegas..

Stone, Pietro, Shea, Eichel, Reilly Smith, Barbashev, Mcnabb, March...

Too many to count.

They have a really good coach, too. Their breakouts and relentless forecheck are proof. It also seems like any mobile D can be successful under Cassidy

To be fair, Hill has been very good since taking over back in round 2. It's not like a Kuemper (2022) or Niemi (2010) situation where the team is outscoring the issues in net. He stole a couple of games vs the Stars and owned the Oilers
Leafs should've drafted Hill back in 2015, what is wrong with this franchise?
