Insane. Florida is unstoppable right now with Bobrovsky playing at this level.

Canes played soft perimeter hockey IMO. They just didnt go to the dirty areas same as the shit ass crap the Leafs played.

Canes won the corsi and xgf battle every game but lost the war.

VGK knows how to play dirty, and they play dirty. Won't be as easy for the panthers. Also, Cassidy doesn't give a flying F if his players are hacking/whacking; IMO he encourages that stuff too.

Panthers are going to be shocked when they play VGK IMO. Panther's have had an easy road when it comes to playoff dirty hockey. Bennet/Lomberg/Gudas etc. have gotten away with a lot of dirty shit; VGK would pay them with interest

Both Matthews and McDavid left watching from the sidelines again.

Maybe Brady Tkachuk will be the next guy to make it to the finals before Matthews and McDavid.

Crazy. What is in that blood?

I do think its funny people who have been saying 'see, this is why you need an elite goalie!' when referencing Bob (not saying that is you, moreso others/media etc.). But then you look at the other likely Goalie and its Adin Hill, a journeyman backupish goalie, leading his team lol. Goalies are wild to predict.
I think it's a combo of both...

Florida is a definition of feast or famine depending on their goalie.

Vegas is full on team structure and gameplay led by a coach that knows how to get to the finals.

In between are the Bolts but they actually had depth and playoff warriors to play around who is also blessed with Vasilesky.

Any thought of a jump beyond 1 million for next year is probably fantasy I’d grant.
Wasnt there convo at potentially looking to increase the salary cap to 5 mil now of late?

Bob himself was wild to predict. They had to take him out down the stretch because he was playing so poor and left their playoff push up to their #3

Oh I don't disagree, but Florida was 21st or something all year defensively, Bob was a sieve and lost his starting job, and had to rely on Lyon to get into the playoffs. Now Bob is some Godlike goalie, which he has earned, but like what the heck.

Vegas is very deep, great defense corps, and being led by Adin Hill, who has also played great. Not like hes been stopping 15 shots a game.

Not only push but they let Lyon start the first three games in the series against Boston before going back to Bob

Not sure if it's a case of Bob being elite, rather him just getting insanely hot at the right time with the coincidence that he's being paid like an elite goalie

Not only that, when he did actually come into the playoffs for his first game this year against the Bruins, he got blown up, 5 GA on 30 shots. Looked like he still had no idea how to play goal. Then boom, 1 loss in his next 11 games onto the cup final. Wild.

I think oddly him losing his job, is what is giving Bob his super strength, he literally was in the back seat resting up. Biding his time. Too boot he's also super extremely mega hot lmao

TSN (I think?) has an article floating around about the league and the PA meeting to discuss the possibility of going beyond 1 million next year, didnt strike me as promising, something in it about PA unwilling to make compromises for higher cap.

Here’s hoping tho.

Knowing the NHL, they'll wait 8 days before starting it up.
I would think the arenas would be available. Neither city has a basketball team playing and the NHL mandates they have dates booked before the playoffs start.
Should be able to get it going on Monday if VGK can win tomorrow.

Crazy what 1 good playoff run does for your rep. He was pretty much anti-clutch his whole career in Calgary.
I agree completely. But you can’t deny anyone being call clutch when they score 3 of the 4 game winning goals in a series.
Heck if Kerfoot done that, he is clutch.
