Pittsburgh is going to lose to Chicago and miss the playoffs. Wow.

EDIT: My bad they haven’t missed yet but they’ll be hard pressed to make it with the Islanders facing a depleted and tanking Habs team for their final game.

I'd rather boston play one of florida/isles than pens.

if boston plays isles they will win thet series but they will have a bunch of bumps and bruises because isles won't have the puck much so they will be hitting a ton

and there is a chance (albeit really really really small) that sorokin steals the series ;)

That's a good thing. Florida's 1st round pick is with Montreal. They're probably sad that what looked like a top 10 pick for much of the year (with a chance to turn into Bedard as it was not lottery protected) turned into 16 or higher pick.

habs can suck on a fat one

Holl was coming off an excellent season in a shutdown top-4 role, and was signed for multiple years at a good cost. He was and continues to be valuable to the team. We can go back and forth talking about how much you undervalue Holl now, but it's really irrelevant when the simple, undeniable fact is that there was no replacement for him then.

Justin Holl sucks.

Pens couldn't ask for an easier path to the playoffs. Just beat a pair of Bedard teams and they choke.

Yeah, it couldn't have gone better. I was getting worried that Boston was going to get a 4 preseason games for the 1st round.

At least now they'll have to battle decent teams in the 1st round.

Islanders still have a lot of players who went toe to toe with Tampa for 2 years in the playoffs and while the Panthers suck defensively and their goaltending is questionable at best, they've got Tkachuk who is known to stir shit up so you know that crybaby will do something to annoy the Bruins.

Want to know something crazy?

With the Penguins likely missing the playoffs and Washington and Nashville eliminated (Winnipeg about to win). The Leafs now have the longest active playoff appearance streak in the NHL, tied with Boston.
Lol, in a way this is kind of embarrassing

There is a good chance the Isles finish 7th if they beat the Habs.

Canes will be motivated against Panthers as the Devils area only 1 point behind them for the division lead.

In 80 games the Bruins had 131 points, including OT points.
