The race for the final wildcard spots is kind of compelling. Very interesting to keep an eye on it. Imagine if Buffalo somehow ended up running the table and got help. They would be in the playoffs!

40% is pretty good for shootouts... Obviously a small sample size though.

A good ratio but like you said small sample size. I mean the man’s been in the league 8 seasons now so having only 5 attempts in that time tells me he’s not a go to guy there for anyone. Except Sutter for whatever reason tonight. I mean if sample size doesn’t matter put in Andersson, he’s 2/4 so an even better 50%.

I’m pulling for the penguins to get in. Their last two games are Columbus and Chicago, so good chance. Win both and they are in.

Why are the Habs so angry that the Leafs played an amateur goalie against an amateur team?

They have to be angry about something, I guess. Look at their team. Doesn't matter which Leafs power play unit was on the ice. It wouldn't have made a lick of difference.

Calgary is done. Shootout loss to Nashville eliminates them. Their season ends in an all too familiar story, losing in OT/SO after outshooting their opponent.

I'm torn.

As they spend so much energy trashing everything east of Regina, especially the Leafs, I take pleasure in their failure.

As a 25 year Calgarian the money it brings into the city will be missed.

However, the Flames winning the whole thing would make this place ... I'd rather see the Jets win.

I dont think that's the reason they are upset. They are upset because PP1 was out there when the score was well out of reach.
Part of PP1 was out there to pick up the 20 seconds of scraps at the end of the PP, after PP2 started and played the majority.
There was no valid reason to be upset. They're just upset because they have to play for the Habs.
