BTW, Pasta scored on a nice EN wrap around against NJ Saturday but he was not credited with a goal as time ran out and the two team engaged in some pushing and shoving. Refs did not call for video review but the replay clearly showed the puck over the line before the Devils player got to it.

As for being selfish, yesterday with already having scored the hat trick I saw him have a good chance for a 4th but he passed it instead. He also sat on the bench the when Philly pulled their goalie with over 2 minutes to go. He's never scored 4 in a game but he sat.

yeah I remember when he was even with McDavid or +-1 goal, he got empty net, but decided screw that and was trying to setup Krejci for an empty net to score in his 1000th game celebration night.

Not what his stats, teammates or coach tell us.

No one will be surprised by McDavid winning MVP, he got one of the best offensive seasons ever.

At the same time Pasta is Bruins MVP and led them to 63 wins. McDavid with 160+ points is leading Oilers to 2nd place in their division. No one is saying Pasta is likely to win it, but there is an argument for Pasta.

nope they are not, thats the way the NHL wants it.... go over the cap in the playoffs, sure makes it fair to the teams that are cap compliant all season and in the playoffs and play by the rules!, should be changed imo

Yup I'd take Matty but it can't be at a crazy number. Marner is a year younger but is being paid over $4.3m more than Pasta. Goal scorers are generally paid more than playmaker. Both are great but I prefer goal scorers.
