They have arguably 5 NHL D on their whole roster. Perbix is a sheltered rookie, and Fleury is an AAAA tweener. With Cernak hurting, they are hurting.....

I'd truly love to see it be a real sign of things to come, but Kucherov/Hedman/Point/Vasilevskiy deserve respect. Plus the refs will do anything they can to help them out

While I haven’t really decided whether I care about the concept of buying cap, I think what annoys me is listening to Bettman threaten teams about how he will be keeping a close eye on them while allowing one team to do this:

Weber

Ladd

Little

Voracek

OEL

Kane

Bjugstad

Hossa

Datsyuk

Pronger

all the while playing in a tiny rink, constantly bottom feeding etc.

Without the Conn Smyth guy, they arnt even a playoff team IMO.

Sub .900 goaltending kills your playoff chances and that every other keeper they have combined outside of Vasy.

They rank 19th best for fewest shots and 19th best xGA/60 this year (Canucks/Oilers comparables)........and maybe just blew all their draft capitol of a couple of plugs instead of getting D help and goalie depth.
