Nice seeing an organization prioritize team over individual accomplishment. I can only imagine the outrage if something like this happened in Toronto. It is not "mean" to do something like this. If your organization is about what is best for team, you do these kinds of things. Prioritizing individuals over team is the wrong way to go about things.

And, yes, I say this in reference to carrying Wayne Simmonds and Jason Spezza.

Yandle was 11 games short of 1000.

Flyers can't lose any points.
It is important that they ice the best team.

They do play again in 22/23. Better to get Yandle to his 1K or the young guys experience for next season? They made the decision to prepare their young guys and get a jump on next season vs. indulging Yandle's personal milestone.

22/23 will thank their org for the decision to prioritize team over Yandle's meaningless streak. Playing Yandle in 21/22 wouldn't help the guy who has to sit for him to hit 1k games.

Also I love how Toronto is so important around the league that the flyers had to break the streak and sit yandle

Couldn't have asked for a better brief clip that sums up everything wrong with pro h okey.

Where being good at the sport is seen as a negative.....
I know, and the fact there are people in here willing to defend what beagle did because it's "tough hockey" are embarrassing. Guaranteed Drysdale is gonna get mocked for turning away from punches too.

Repeatedly punching a guy already down, yes let’s cheer that on!

Same people defending that would jumping over the glass if that was their kid on the ice getting pummelled.

Bruins announcers must be salivating over that incident. Dumb f##ks all around.

Punched for too much skill.

Ritchie stick slapping people, might have dodged a bullet with that guy. Having the run of his career and he's going to sabotage it.

True, but let's be real their current season is over.

How many other ineffective players are they leaving in the line-up?

I guess that's what they're trying to learn.

To me, I think of the Leafs sitting Simmonds in favor of Abruzzese if their record was reversed with Philly. I can only speak for me, but I would rather see Abruzzese get his shot and let him develop for the following season than to watch Simmer get his 1K games. I understand and respect we all have differing opinions.

Just think that it is better for the Flyers to see what they have and it will help them next season vs. holding Yandle's hand to 1K which will do nothing for them in 22/23.

Looks like Kadri will be out long term. There goes his chase to 100 pts.
Damn, didn't realize how good of a season he was having. Good for him but sucks that he got injured.
