Looks like a team that doesn;t give a flying F about getting "respect" in the handshake line from tampa

dubas and keefe do not approve

;)

I bet tampa thought avs are gonna come out cocky and overconfident and lazy in the 2nd game and tampa can pounce them.

Avs are not the Leafs led by morons like keefe and dubas

Might be worthwhile to see how long Sakic has been GM though and see the failures he endured to get here.

She cleared her throat after game 2 vs Rangers. She may want to wait to see if Avs can get a one in Tampa.

Tampa probably deserved a better fate during those first two games vs the rangers.

Not the case here. They are getting demolished. You can never count them out, but they haven't shown that they can handle the Avs speed. We'll see how they respond in game 3

On May 10, 2013, the Avalanche promoted Sakic to Executive Vice President of Hockey Operations. In this expanded role, Sakic has the final say on all matters regarding hockey personnel.[83] During Patrick Roy's time as head coach, they shared most of the duties normally held by a general manager. General Manager Greg Sherman remained in his post, but served mainly in an advisory role to Roy and Sakic. This de facto arrangement was formalized the following season, when Sakic was formally named general manager and Sherman was demoted to assistant general manager.

Apart from his two years away from hockey, Sakic has spent almost three decades with the Nordiques/Avalanche organization as either a player or executive.

The failures he endured were not because of his overpayments, ego and thinking he is the best GM ever to walk this earth.

Also, Sakic is the same guy who said his core isnt getting it done, dealt ROR, Duchene and others to retool and get back it.

Sakic is not a moron.

The worthwhile thing is looking at context and things that happened under sakic instead of just saying "look how long sakic has been there"

do you guys ever get tired of defending dubas? I mean seriously

This has just been a really mediocre playoffs for Vasilevskiy. Doesn't take away from what he's done before this year, but this year not so great.

Also remember that he tried to hire our current GM when he was still AGM and reluctantly took on the job himself al a Ken Dryden after being denied by mlse and not liking the other options available to him.

See my previous post (#4495)

They're not top heavy like the Leafs. If the 60 goal scorer doesn't have a great game, we're pretty much toast.
DIdn't we also have 2 mid-30's goal scorers not too mention three 20+ goal scorers and then 6 more with 10+ goals. Yeah the Avs do balance out a little better but we still had that series stolen from us by the refs. Now, Tampa can see that what comes around goes around cause without that 5 on 3 the Avs had in game 1, then Tampa wins it in regulation but then if things are fair in the NHL, Tampa wouldn't have made it past game 6 against the Leafs.
