Pretty typical season .. Leafs get up on Boston, but Boston holds games in hand. Boston catches up by winning their games in hand and eventually passes the Leafs.

Hurts this year because unlike 17-18 and 18-19, the Leafs overall play in the New Year has been more than adequate to stay ahead, and hell maybe have even passed Tampa. But our goaltending just had to crater and put up numbers not seen since the f***ing 80s.

That Marchand goal was filthy lol

As much as I want to hate that guy, he has evolved so much over the years
Still a rat but such a good all around player

I don't know any player fits the city as much Marchand does with Boston in current NHL

Goes to show, you don't need to draft a lot of players. If you have a good core like Boston, Tampa, Detroit of 2000s
A good goalie
A good franchise D
2-3 three really good forwards

Vegas has lost their mojo

They were getting so much out of so many players. That Patch guy isn't very good, neither is Karlsson it seems

Did McPhee did any wheeling and dealing at the trade deadline? Holy, moly, that team is in a major tailspin.

An elite coach helps. Seems like any D can be plugged into Cassidy's system and be effective.

losing to florida and tampa might still be acceptable. losing to canes with freddie in net is gonna be such a leafy move and embarrassing. I'd rather face tampa or florida instead LOL

Losing to Florida would be another low for this franchise

They haven't won anything in 22 years. Which other team is better to break your slumps than Leafs
Adding to our growing accolates

Team that worries me are the Rangers

Shes is having an MVP season
Trouba and Fox are good solid pairing with decent supporting cast but not great

Ofcourse upfront they are loaded with Panarin, Ziba, Kreider and Strome

LOL... well at least Florida does play hard hockey so at least they will learn something I guess....

I'd rather they face Tampa. They see how Tampa plays in the playoffs and learn from it
OR
Somehow they beat Tampa and gain so much confidence that they go on to win the cup
Gotta beat the man to be the man. I like it. To be honest I’m not really too hung up who we get in the first round, no matter who it is it’s going to be a war. I’m more concerned about the performance of our guys, if they’re on they can beat any one including Tampa Carolina and especially Florida. If they’re not rolling we don’t have a chance regardless of who they face, that was proven last spring when they got the what? 18th best regular season team in round 1?
No matter what anyone does on either team playing that night the leafs fate falls on how the big guys go, they’re that good.
