Shout out to those who years back were calling Kadri an "easily replaceable 3rd line centre". Thanks for the memories.
Lots of average to slightly above average players have a breakout seasons (many in the final year of contracts), only to then sign a big FA deal and fall back to Earth in subsequent seasons. I'd wouldn't hold my breath expecting Kadri's standout stats this year to continue at that level going forward...especially on a different team. If he does...good for him. But he let this team down in two successive playoff runs through sheer stupidity and selfishness. I don't care if he scores a million points before his career is done. His time here was done. I don't miss him.Shout out to those who years back were calling Kadri an "easily replaceable 3rd line centre". Thanks for the memories.![]()
We all know why he was traded. Not sure why we have to beat a dead horse.Shout out to those who years back were calling Kadri an "easily replaceable 3rd line centre". Thanks for the memories.![]()

The chance of him maintaining this level are obviously slim and none. I kind of miss him, and kind of don't miss him but doesn't matter. I wasn't implying we shouldn't have traded him, sorry if it sounded like that.
I was fine with trading him. I'm not beating anything, just remembering some funny posts from years ago.

My bad as well. I'm glad Naz is doing well, but when we got JT he became a round peg in a square hole. He was too good (and too expensive) for a 3rd line role, but his 2C slot was taken by Captain Pajamas so he had to go. I wish he had accepted the trade to Calgary, though. We would have gotten Brodie a year earlier, and we wouldn't have had to suffer through a season of Barrie. My bad. I misinterpreted your post.

.. what is San Jose doing? Wilson is killing that orgnaization.
Not that I’m against hertl at that value but their roster needs a rebuild at this point

Erik Karlsson is still the best defensemen in the world...same with Burns.Yeah that was the perfect time to go through a rebuild. Doubling down on a mediocre team is... something.
I am not gonna lie...he deserves it, but I swear...my gut just keeps telling me he'll go to the Habs. He would be the guy like...everyone is going to Toronto, well I'll go to Montreal, it's who I rooted for so why not.Kadri is gonna get PAID

Although I don't disagree, that core has plenty of say in where they end up, or if they even move anywhere at all. That is, or isn't, their rebuild right there.Idk what San Jose is doing. Their mediocre core is locked up forever and they keep adding to the pile.
Many on this board can sleep tight knowing Dubas held out and did not give up a 1st. Panthers D now has Chariot, Ekblad, Weager and Gubas. Not good for our boys if they want it easy. The Chiarot trade will be worth it when he cross-checks one of our stars hard on the back, injuring them and not receiving any penalty or supplemental discipline afterwards.
