Eh, I think he's scored some big ones for them. Also he's clutch with the profuse head-bleeding which got them 4 goals, so there's that.

It would be classic if that pick ends up top 3 for OTT. They’ve tied up $26M in three defensemen. Those contracts are going be an anchor for SJ for 6 more years.

I need to watch the Sharks more often. Them losing and watching their star "defensemen" play D will make me feel a lot better.

Can’t believe the Sharks are trying to copy the strategy of the successful 2018-19 Kings.
The Leafs have given up 7 goals so far with 13 minutes left. They're not looking all that impressive to start out the season.
And the all world Morgan Reilly got abused by Shattenkirk. Toronto's garbage like their D.

Read the play? Not back into his goalie's face? Stay at the guy/spot that's the only remaining uncovered player?
He knew what he was supposed to go given he weakly stuck out his foot to block the shot too late. He wanted to cover the pass and the shot because he didn't have the presence of mind to read the backcheck and so he covered neither.
It's not about the isolated incidents, it's that stuff like that is a regular occurrence.
Stop the pass or when he failed to do so take the guy that just made the pass? Not just waive his head back and forth like a ping pong ball?

And as Jim Fox has said 100x during broadcasts, the D-mans job is to take the pass away. The goalie's job is to focus on the shooter

Look at his stick position, especially after his man passes the puck away. He's holding it parallel to the net. Was he expecting to receive a pass from the opposition? He didn't even try to route his guy away from the net. He just let him stay in shooting position.
i mean he allowed not 1 but 2 cross passes while standing there with his junk in his hand, then finished it off with a weak ass ballet kick after the puck was already in the net. That's Derek Forbort territory.
