I dont watch Rangers games often so I wasn't sure thus I asked. It does look like his production is pretty 1C-ish the last 2 years. So perhaps he's a legit 1C for you guys.

That was a beautifully deep team up front:

Elias-Arnott-Sykora
Brylin-Gomez-Mogilny
Pandolfo-Holik-Lemieux
Nemchinov-Madden-McKay

I understand that the Devils were labeled as forever being boring and low scoring, but for a three year stretch (more or less the Arnott years) they scored more goals than the Red Wings and Avs. 2nd in GF in 1998-99 and 1999-00, and 1st in 2000-01. Nothing wrong with having three balanced lines and a killer PP.

That was a killer depth line-up for sure and not surprising it was extremely successful. Another thing in regards to the Rangers or any team lacking center depth, you can get away with decent a 2C, 3C etc but you need a Norris caliber anchor on D as well if you want to sniff the Cup.

Jackets and Bolts tied 1-1 after 1. As expected, Bolts came out all fired up, with that sweep from last year in the air, and Jackets survived that inital onslaught and the game settled in. Columbus is very good defensviely and forecheck well, they are strong on the boards. Jones is awesome, if he was on a more offense team, I think he'd be noticed/recog nized Nationally more.
Ryan McDonagh had an awful period, a few turnovers that could have cost them.
Jackets need to hit more, Bolts don't like contact.

Savard got crosschecked in the mouth, cut and bled into his beard, has a nice wide scarlet stripe in there, very cool playoff look.

Would sooner offload our 2nd first and some of our good prospects for a legit 2C than Kakko, imo.

definitely a possibility, but not sure anyone with quality + youth 2nd line Center who would be available for that. In terms of hockey trade Kakko has pretty good value. With panarin and laf on left wing he seems like the odd one out to me.

Have to wait and see I suppose.
