I personally think throwing jerseys/etc is pretty silly. Then again, I don't have that sort of disposable income.
But I also completely understand the fans not liking him and fully endorse the chants they shouted.
He just didn't seem genuinely interested in signing with the Isles, and admitted he didn't want Toronto to trade assets for him. So he was basically looking out for Toronto's best interests while still working for NYI.
I just think he was negotiating in bad faith the whole time.
Granted, he fought hard for 9 years, but it kinda goes out the window with that behavior.
