He just didn't seem genuinely interested in signing with the Isles, and admitted he didn't want Toronto to trade assets for him. So he was basically looking out for Toronto's best interests while still working for NYI.

I just think he was negotiating in bad faith the whole time.

Granted, he fought hard for 9 years, but it kinda goes out the window with that behavior.

I can see the jersey toss if you're a fan and bought it earlier in Tavares' career, and have no intention of ever wearing it again. If I had a Blake jersey when he was traded to Colorado, it might have ended up on his head when the Avs came back to LA.

But at the very least, how much did it rattle the leafs? Good lord was that ever a '6th man' scenario. For how cocky they were last week--kapanen blowing kisses, Tavares asking "who are you?" to people--it was nice to see a sock stuffed in it.

I dunno, I have enough residual leftover dislike from 2012 to root for a quick out depending on who they play. If they eliminate SJ, that would be great though.

I still don't like Blake for his repeated bullshit.

Fan is short for fanatic. Reason can be thrown out the window. Good for them to lay into him. He did what he thought was good for him and ultimately robbed the Islanders of gaining assets etc. The fans cheer for the Islanders and he hurt them so its awesome they poured it on.

Justin Williams netted his 18th. Love that guy...has been a great captain for them this year.
 
Aho is a stud. If he played in another market, he would get more recognition.

The Canes’ have a budding superstar on their hands.
 
Jets take down the Preds and claim 1st place. Hayes with a 3 pt night (and almost got another at the end)
He's a great pickup for them , having a 6'5 center who can score , added to what they have already, really will make a difference.

If Columbus has a bad playoff exit and they don't sign the majority of their guys, they could go so far South that their fans will be stunned.

To have Duchene, Panarin, Bobrovsky and Dzingel all UFA's is just laughable. To have basically nothing in the 2019 Draft is even more laughable. That not only gets your HC fired but it cleans out your GM as well.

Jeebus, these retirement ceremonies are quite lengthy. Doan had an hour long one and now Iggy is having his before the Flames game.

Pretty neat that both clubs are on the benches taking it in.
