what do you think about barkov - aho- laine line, youngsters from finland? i didn't watch them before this tourney, just heard some positive rumors about them, and after a few games i'm deeply impressed. huge talent in that line.

Barkov is looking more and more like Kopitar. Aho will play and Caroline got another finnish Teravainen from Chicago. Laine has really good shot.
 
Man, this US team doesn't want to shoot when a quality scoring chance is there. They keep over passing and they're making really stupid plays that are resulting in turnover after turnover. But I'm sure if I go over to the game day thread it'll be all Quick's fault. Think I'll steer clear of that place.
 
US could only match up against the Czech's really. They lost to Europe, so I couldn't see them beating Finland or Sweden. DL should have at least had T. Johnson and Faulk on that squad....

Honestly never expected Team USA to win as soon as I saw the roster. They are simply not good enough and not talented enough. Why even play these type of tournaments when Team Canada brings their All star roster every time. Oh well.
 
Concerned that we're witnessing what it's going to be like all season for the Kings. The game does appear to be passing Lombardi by about as quickly as Team Canada is passing USA defenders.

Team USA doesn't have the talent period, to compete at the international level.

Has nothing to do with Lombardi.

I mean Kane/Suter are literally the USA's best players. That's about it.

Canada has Jake Muzzin playing five/six defender minutes....Hello folks.
 
I must admit that I have not watched a single game yet. Partly because of the time. 4pm starts just won't cut it. The fact that it's not held in multiple cities to accomodate the other time zones is just horrible.

Cause team USA has The Kings roster....Oh wait.

Doughty/Kopitar/Pearson/Toffoli/Muzzin are American right ?

Toffoli alone is a better winger than anyone on Team USA, except Patrick Kane.
