NYR trade Dylan McIlrath to FLA for Steve Kampfer and conditional 7th round pick.

If McIlrath plays 30 games for FLA this season, NYR get a 2018 7th round pick from FLA. If he plays less, no draft pick in deal.

nice pickup for the Cats, at 6'5 , 240 lbs, he can provide some toughness in the back end for them

I was at the 2010 Draft in LA and was mildly upset that Fowler/Tarasenko (and admittedly Gormley) had fallen into the Rangers' laps. When they selected McIlrath, I stood up and applauded the pick. A few nearby fans gave me a puzzled "Why is a guy in a Devils jersey cheering a Rangers pick" look. I gleefully explained that I thought they passed up on better players.

Perhaps ironically, McIlrath might be most remembered for being the D on this highlight reel Tarasenko goal.

The KHL has never been one to disclose salaries, but a new list revealed the top-25 highest-paid players in the league. It’s worth noting that player bonuses are not reflected in the total amounts listed.Aivis Kalnins released a list of the 25 highest-salaried KHL players and a lot of familiar faces made the list. Checking in first is former New Jersey Devils forward Ilya Kovalchuk ($5.5 million USD), former Red Wing Pavel Datsyuk ($4.5 million USD) and disgraced former Los Angeles Kings defenseman Slava Voynov ($4.5 million USD).

other than offer sheet how would they have? No Guarantee Lindholm would have signed with the habs anyway.

They might not have the $$ anyway. There was another thread talking about trading for Fowler and they couldn't afford him.

Tonight is Lisa Dillman's last covering the Kings for the L A Times, she got a gig with NHL.com (still based locally)

Good for her. The tronc Times is living on borrowed time. Sad!

Carey Price is incredible. Has zero losses in his last 17 games.

Free agent summer of 2018. Betting he gets a monster extension this coming July. 8 years with how much money? $9-10 million would be my guess passing Lundqvist's $8.5 million.

Guess there is a high percentage of his SOG that don't get blocked...

Weber goal: 102 mph. Soft.

His 6th of the year.

I know it was tough to lose Justin Williams but he has 1 goal in 14 games this year.

Lombardi made the right call with that. He made the wrong call with the whole Lucic ordeal. Should have never traded for him knowing he couldn't sign him.

Lucic has 5 goals and 9 points.
