Hawks and BJ's tied 1-1 after 2.
Bobrovsky putting on a show,
Hawks outshot Jackets 29-12.

Then there was Dubinsky wanting to fight Toewes and the ref's immediately came over and pulled them apart. Embarrasing for Toewevs...who wanted to go and wasn't happy about it.

Flyers up 5-3 , Giroux (10G, 27 A 37 pts) and Voracek (12 G, 29 A, 41 pts) with 78 points between the 2 of them, with almost 50 games left.

Jack Minus Forever Johnson! Poor guy, just crap luck every time he steps onto the ice.

He didn't last night, he scored the GWG in the 9th round of the shootout giving the BJ's the W, now 8-0-1 in their last 9.

Trade rumbles (from the Ottawa Sun Column today and also from NESN
Sekara asking price from the Canes (too high) is a 1st round pick and a prospect

Kings talking to the Sabres about C. Stewart (asking for young player and high end propsct ) and T. Myers (asking price very high)

Blues shopping Berglund and Oshie to dump salary before contract reups with Lehtera , Tarasenko and Schwartz . Bruins might be interested in Oshie.

Yotes are moving salary as well, Yandle and Vermette .

Bruins looking for a winger , Kassian is one they like and if they find a more blue chip forward, Marchand and Lucic would go the other way.

Bieksa's name is out there as well.

I think that's more the dumb ass gm from Buffalo wanting Toffoli and offering up Stewart because we play a heavy style and Deano countered with Myers.

If Lucic or Marchand are available the Kings should be on that like stink on ****.

Canada lines at morning skate:
Domi-Reinhart-Duclair
Ritchie-McDavid-Lazar
Petan-Paul-Fabbri
Crouse-Gauthier-Virtanen

I hope Crouse is still there when the FLyers pick (currently he's ranked in the 5-9 area) Gagne was the last stud winger they drafted and a 6'4, 215 lb power winger would be great.

If the Hawks get Vermette we're screwed.

Good to hear DL is pushing for Myers, who would replace Voynov I guess. I'd rather get someone like Wideman though. He'd cost a lot less.

Chris Stewart is everything DL doesn't want in a player,

Lots of people said the exact same thing about Penner.

Christ Stewart could be a boon for the 3rd line. He's big, physical and nasty with 20 goal hands. A true power forward...when he wants to be. The problem is motivation. We've seen Lombardi take a chance on a guy like this before and Stewart's game style is a much better fit than Penner's ever was.

This team is lacking that in-your-face type of a-hole that teams hate playing against. Kyle Clifford was supposed to be that player but his development has flatlined.

The bottom six is lacking the spark it had during our first and to a lesser extent the second cup run. If the price isn't crazy, I'd like to see DL go after him.

Willie Mitchell - you can leave classless LA, but the classlessness will never leave you.

I said the same thing on their trade thread. If the Hawks land Vermette, they're head and shoulders above the rest of the NHL no question. Everyone can just pray B. Richards runs out of gas like always but that gives them 4 strong down the middle.

C. Stewart and Myers makes a TON of sense but would cost a significant shakeup arm and leg.

Canada plays Sweden in an exhibition game today/tonight. Adrian Kempe playing for Sweden.

All I know is Stewart was a ghost during both playoff series against the Kings. Dunno why you would want the guy.

Who knows, there was a faction here who wanted Doan when it looked like he was going to hit UFA.

I wanted Doan at the time because I thought his hunger for a Cup is exactly what we needed but time and observation has changed my mind completely.

The Kings have proven they are plenty hungry for multiple Cups on their own. They don't need any additional hunger, they already have plenty. On the other side of the ledger, Doan has proven he really doesn't care about chasing the Cup; he is perfectly satisfied with mediocrity. Additionally, yesterday's antics aside, Doan tends to take bad penalties late in games and this behavior is the last thing the Kings need in the playoffs.
