I don't want to read it yet but are Ducks and Sharks fans posting all kinds of hate posts about the Kings in the series thread on the main boards?

Both teams suck. Either Kings or Hawks would light up Lunchbox.
you had one job Montreal. Useless sacks of ****. Kings have to win tomorrow since there's no way the ECF is going past 6.
It's amazing the lack of respect you have for elite goalies.
Truly amazing.

I wonder if the Rangers are being underestimated. If they make the finals, the WCF winner might not have a cakewalk. The Rangers seem to have banded together and that can go a long way.
The biggest advantage they'll have is rest if they can wrap it up in 5 games. They've played 18 already.
Then the Kings are forced to make this a short series, which I doubt will happen...but one can hope.
Tomorrow night's game is huge, just as Saturday's was.
Jesus, is that Expos board blowing up.
VITRIOLIC.
And that is when they were tied.![]()
Agreed... A short series will certainly help the Kings, but that's a TALL order vs. Chicago.
Funny that no team who has played 2 game 7's has ever made it to the SCF (much less won), now there's a chance for two teams to do it.
Either West team will have home ice if the Rangers do advance IIRC.

Why are they called "the Habs?"
In 1924, Madison Square Garden owner Tex Rickard was falsely told by someone that the "H" stood for "habitant", a French word that in those days was used to denote the farmers of Quebec.
Rickard was told that the French players on the team came from the farms and that they were therefore "habitants" or "habs". At the time, the Canadiens were recognized as the French team of Montreal as opposed to the Montreal Maroons, the English team.
On a side note, the Montreal logo of the C wrapped around the H stands for Club de Hockey Canadien. In 1917, at the founding of the NHL, the Canadiens changed their name to that from the previous Club Athletique Canadien.
The Los Angeles Kings arrived in the NHL as part of the league’s first wave of expansion in 1967. Success has been hard to come by for Kings over the years, as attested to by their lone division title in 1990-91. In 24 postseason appearances, Los Angeles has only gotten past the first round 12 times.
The Canadiens and Kings first squared off in Los Angeles on November 19, 1967, with the Canadiens falling 4-2.
Montreal and Los Angeles, who has yet to capture a Stanley Cup, have met just once in the playoffs, in 1993. The Canadiens topped the Kings in five games in the Cup Finals, earning their 24th championship in franchise history.
