I like Trotz, but Ovie is an issue and it starts with the mistake of that C on his chest. He's a very talented , elite scoring forward, but he's not a leader and it shows. LIving in Phlly, I've watched a lot of his games and he's far too much about the name on the back than the crest on the front. Some Russian players are, they're not brought up/coached the same way as North American or Northern Eurpoean players, who stress the team concept, rather than the individual. . The Russian players are taught to be competitive with the guy next to them, and buying into sacrificing for the good of the team isn't something by the time hey hit the NHL that some of them can do.
THey need to build a team with him, not around him. Make the right moves, get some leadership in that room. Players that understand sacrifice, heart and will. The other Caps can rally around that and Ovie won't have to be 'the guy'.
Don't see trading him, not just because of the contract but he puts butts in the seats.

Funny, I always tell people that I'm a hockey fan first, Kings fan second. i watch hockey no matter what. I love the sport and I do love the Kings but I'll watch any team play (including the Ducks) and enjoy it. Obviously, I like to root for the less hated team but I still like to watch hockey. I'll take a Ducks game any day over basketball or baseball. I've been trying to watch baseball on the off days the past few weeks and man oh man is it boooooring.

I love other sports but I can't do a lot of them on TV, baseball in particular. Live is a whole different ballgame (PUN INTENDED LOLOL), but nothing ramps me up like hockey. I would rather watch our rivals play in the cup finals than have to sit around and watch another sport.
HM to soccer and lacrosse though, and NFL on Sundays as more of an 'event' than a sport. Maybe it's just spontaneous-change-of-possession sports I like on TV but I can't do the NBA there either....meh. I digress.
Hope the Habs make a series of it.

Love watching offensive teams like the Ducks and Pens play. Hockey as an art form.
But I really love winning. And with the Kings solid defense and now solid offense...just a lot of fun right now.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love hockey and watch it even when the Kings aren't playing. What I meant was I don't root for other teams when the Kings are eliminated. Like last year I watched the SCF, but I couldn't bring myself to root for either team. Kings or no one!

I feel like MTL is trolling everyone right now. Leading after 1.... getting to the front of the net causing issues....
Seems like MTL is getting burned a lot when their D try to hold the puck in then watch NYR forwards blow by them.
