How about we just throw them both out of the league, that would be a nice start to ending the lack of respect players have for each other, and apparently for the officials as well.

Happy we won't have to see the side show idiot for the rest of the playoffs.

Total embarrassment!

I'm fully on board the Blame Kreider Train.

He has a history of this because there is no such thing as retribution anymore. He continually goes hard to the net and if he happens to slide into the goalie then so be it because he isn't going to have to eat through a straw like he would of 15 years ago.

This board would be screaming for blood if that were Quick in Price's skates.

Perfect crime in my opinion.

If Kreider had done that to Quick, and took him out of the series, this board would be up in arms, and would have loved any retaliation.

If that exact thing happens to Quick, yes, I'm upset that we lose Quick, but I'm not going to let those emotions skew my view of what actually happened.

Was it unfortunate? Does it suck? Yes to both (I want a MTL v. LA final SO bad I can taste it!). But if you remove emotion and look at what happened objectively, you cannot blame Kreider for what happened. Surely you've seen the still of Emelin's stick FLEXED across the shin of Kreider?

And, if that was a King's player chasing down that puck and trying to score, but they instead decided to hold off on the chance that the goalie might get injured if the player gets tripped up, then I would want Sutter should bench that player and plut in someone who wants to play hockey and win games.

Unfortunate incident, but no truly objective person is going to blame what happened on Kreider.

What I am saying is that Kreider could have lessened the blow, but instead of doing that, he saw it as an opportunity to take out Price, which he did.

It's the playoffs. An I for an I is how eye see it.

Merely out of curiosity, how do you feel he could have lessened the blow? Not trying to argue right or wrong here, just curious as to what you feel Kreider could have done differently.

I know one common argument was about him going feet first, but I believe that his feet only ended up going first because he was trying to stop (which you HAVE to do to stop in skates). I could maybe understand the point of view that he should have jumped, but I would counter that jumping and landing wrong could have been every bit as dangerous (possible more so) to Price than what actually happened.

It makes me giggle when fans choose a team they would rather play when both options suck. I mean really, if your choice is the Kings and the Hawks, does it matter? Do you want to get beat quickly? Or possibly last a game more, but get physically beat up?

If the Kings make it through, I couldn't care less who they play. They would get home ice against the Rangers, and were ridiculously dominating in possession vs. Montreal this year.

You know, when that incident went down, I saw it 4 times, and I could have sworn that Kreider could have lessened the blow. But now that I see it again a few more times, I see it differently. It appears that Kreider tried to balance upright trying to avoid the collision, but eventually lost his balance.

You're correct. It was just an unfortunate incident.

During the playoffs, I listen to the daily podcast from Marek and Wyshynski and, they talk the playoffs ,etc and usually it's pretty good. T hey have guests on to talk hockey.

So yesterday's podcast (where they were debating if Quick is Jedi or a Ninja with telekentic power of some kind that pucks roll over the line behind him and mysteriously don't go in) They had a guest on, Jason Botchford Sports writer covering the Canucks for the Vancouver Province to talk about Benning, what he'll do as GM, etc.

HE thinks they should trade Kessler, amongothers, and buld for the future, because the team as it is, can't compete with the elite in the PAC division. But he said, Linden thinks this team can contend next year in the playoffs. They asked about Kessler and what should be done, Botchford said Kessler is a very frustrated and unhappy player for a lot of reasons, never getting the elite winger he was promised, wants to play in USA, wants to play on a contender, but he also said things shifted (Kessler asking for a trade) after the players had ameeting and voted the 'A' off of Kessler's jersey. THat would change things.
I didn't realize they'd done that...and that would be uncomfortable.
I don't even think Trotz could fix that Canucks mess, but given the issues, they need to trade Kessler.

Sucks to have both Brassard and Stepan out for the Rags. That pretty much negates their 1 and 2 centers. Talk about injuries to big players in that series, ouch.

I could see Anaheim going after Kesler. There was even talk about Spezza landing with the Ducks. Either one of those guys would make them a whole lot more dangerous than they already are...

Anaheim was one of the 6 teams on Kesslers list of where he'd agree to be traded to, Pens, Redwings, Bolts, Avs, Ducks and Hawks.

Hawks need a 2nd line center but not sure if he'd be an upgrade, given their core is a lot younger and Kessler has had his share of injuries ad surgeries. Pens , by some rumors, really pushed for him, but whatever they offered Nucks turned down. I guess maybe they could have put Malkin on Crosby's wing and Sutter slot the 3rd line.
Lots of players trading uniforms this summer...should be a busy one

I was just wondering about this. Home ice would be nice for a change should things go our way and the Rangers way too.
