Funny how right before on the Caps pp, a Vegas guy who broke his stick, did everything but tackle the guy at the point and they let it go. Looks like it's going to be a like one of those early playoff games that Vegas gets all the breaks.

Eh, refs have been pretty down the middle tonight. Could have easily given Orpik two for starting the scrum after Vegas’s goal.

Vegas has been getting their share of puck luck tonight, though.

Brian Burke brought up how Vegas tends to score right after the other team does withing the first two minutes of the game playoffs. Said he'd put the shutdown line out the next shift. Caps never got the memo in this game and now trail.

One thing I do respect about Vegas and will always defend is their willingness to still take chances, forecheck, and play aggressively even when they have a lead. They don’t start trapping or sit back in the neutral zone. They keep pressing.

Sutter used to coach the Kings that way, and I love it.

I always thought Vegas plays the way other teams need to play against them to beat them by disrupting their passing game. Something the Caps have been great at. Vegas has had very little puck control against the Caps. Vegas is not the team you wait to attack you.

Vegas’s blueline has been so dreadful this series. Seriously exposed. No mobility. Constantly blowing coverage.

They really need a #1 so Schmidt can slide into his rightful spot at #2.

Going to make the EK sweepstakes interesting.

Caps foot soldiers coming up aces, first DSP to tie it and Eller to give the Caps the lead. Eller with his 7th of the playoffs. Impressive.

So close to ending the years of heartbreak. Can they hold on and see it out.
