Didn't Lombardi make that comment when he got Carcillo?

I think Gallant is a good coach when he's focused on the game. Where I think he's a loser is when he resorts to cheap tactics, and his cheap tactics are costing his team right now.

Stoll and brown have always played like that, the difference is Sutter wasn't whining to the refs and losing composure. Lastly, the Kings weren't going around trying to sell calls.

King had players who played on the edge, sure. And I want to know when that comment was made.. I think he got Carcillo for that reason cause Lombardi thought the Kings were soft.

I want to say John Zeiler was involved with that comment somehow. Carcillo was around for a few months, and then they traded for Gaborik after trading Carcillo.

I could have swore whenever the Kings got bullied in the playoffs they got Carcillo and he said that

It was indeed Zeiler. I can't say I remembered the context of it off the top of my head though.

Dean Lombardi doesn't think John Zeiler's near maiming of Adam Foote deserved a suspension

Dean “Don’t call me Vince” Lombardi told LA Daily News writer Rich Hammond that he doesn’t think the three-game suspension given to Kings forward John Zeiler for his cowardly hit from behind Saturday night on Adam Foote deserved what it got. We do not agree with (the suspension),” Lombardi told Daily News writer Rich Hammond. “(We) think the sentence was excessive, but we will live with it. Every good army needs a couple of criminals.”

Got Carcillo in the summer of 2013, but the Kings weren't bullied in the playoffs that year. Outskilled by the Hawks, but scratched and clawed against the Blues and Sharks.

I don’t think the Knights are losing because of their antics. It’s the other way around. Their antics are a result of their losing.

And they’re losing for a number of reasons:

1. They’re a system team, and Trotz has picked apart their system with east-west passing, constant backdoor pressure, and an old school four man neutral zone trap.

2. The Knights do not have the artillery to match Washington’s big guns. Ovechkin, Kuznestov, etc. are simply a tier above anyone on the Knights. They were outskilled by the Jets, too, but their system prevailed. With Trotz countering the system, the Knights have no rearguard, and therefore their lack of skill is exposed.

The frustration and goonery is just peripheral. They’re simply outmatched right now.

I think the Knights are losing because MAF is not posting god like numbers. He carried the team through 3 rounds.

Idk, man. I think this meme needs to die. It’s far too simplistic of an explanation. MAF’s performance through the first three rounds was no more or less significant than Quick’s in 2012. So unless you’re willing to say Quick “carried” the Kings in the 2012 run, it shouldn’t apply here to MAF and the Knights.

Most of the goals Washington is scoring are a result of backdoor plays or outnumbered rushes. Vegas’s defense is being exposed here, not MAF. Prime Hasek would be losing this series, too.

The Hawks were a run away freight train in 2012-13. They crushed the entire league.

Plus the Hawks had owned the Kings, especially in LA, from the first banner night right up through to just about the end of the 2nd period of Game 2 in 2014. That's why they were the dragon. They kept telling the Kings, no, you're not as good as we are, despite your Cup win.

This is a pretty good breakdown of the issue:

Then guts and guile defeated the Hawks in 2014.

I hate Perron, but what a major league battle in front of the net on that goal.
