Everyone needs Quick. I've said it many times but there's those goalies that are average-good during the regular season but great in the playoffs like Quick and then there's the guys who are great in the regular season like Holtby, Gibson, and Price who are average-good in the playoffs. I'll take the average regular season guy.
Quick's style is built for the big stage. And yes I'm saying that with no statistical evidence.

I wonder if Gallant could have gotten the Kings to play the way the Knights are playing right now. They look like the 2012 Kings, making opponents look like pushovers.

Vegas already matched the Kings' total output of goals in the first round. It only took them less than 7 minutes into the 1st to do it.

The Golden Knights are crazy. What are they doing attacking the middle of the ice with speed? Don't they realize the prime scoring areas are along the boards and to the outside?

Hopefully whoever plays Vegas next can stop them, because that team is rolling. All those bandwagon Kings and Ducks fans don’t deserve instant success for abandoning their previous teams. I do like the Vegas players though, except for Perron. f*** him.

This is a "is the glass half full? Or half empty?" thing re: the Kings haha. You could also look at it as "It took Vegas more than 2 full games to get their 4th goal on the Kings."

Also I know we lost to Vegas and there's a certain 'earn it' we want for their fans but I'm enjoying the hell out of them running over SJS, especially after all the shit SJS was talking after our loss. Vegas fans at least acknowledged each game in the series was close.
I figure I'm not going to be happy no matter who wins the Cup unless it's like Winnipeg or Boston or TBL so I may as well enjoy SJS getting paddled. Nash, VGK, SJS, Pit can all go get bent. VGK for all the Gallant gamesmanship and whining, the other three for enabling the diving rat type game. Boston is about the only team left I can get fully behind. WPG I'd want it for their fans, but there's a reason their team is Whineapeg, not much different from Nashville with the "oops I'm not a strong skater anymore, I lost the puck" stuff, same with TBL plus Hedman gets away with everything.

SJ can likely keep it close if they milk their way to the PP like they have for years though.

Things escalated quickly after it was 2-1. Caps made mistakes that went into their goal. They also missed 2 wide open nets that could've made it 3-0 and 3-1.
