I knew Kadri got a boarding right before getting that nasty one. Couldn't find the clip though so thanks. It's on the same exact player too! So 100% hmm no doubt there was intent. Give him 10 games.

He basically admitted that after the game too. Totally flippant. Retaliation/intent to injure. Easy for the NHL to suspend Drew in LA; are they gonna have the balls to suspend a TO player the appropriate amount? 2 games or less for all of Kadri's hijinks would be a total sham. on one hand, you've got a superstar with practically no history and questionable at worst intent; on the other, you have a repeat offender with a long track record, clear intent as admitted on the record, and intent to injure on what's clearly not a 'hockey play.'

Anything less than 6-7 games would be a joke in my mind. Like you said, multiple time repeat offender. Regular season I'd say give him 10 but since it's the playoffs I'd give him the rest of this series and 1 game of the next series if they were to make it that far so 7 games.

I was wrong about the doughty one, so probably here, but you won't see 6-7 games,

I think you will see 3-4, playoff games for better or worse are magnified.

Yeah, I know it won't be 6-7. I'm just pissed off about Doughty lol

I think somewhere around 3-4 is likely. That's basically the rest of the series, I don't think Toronto makes it past 5.
 
Just so we're clear, the two hits most similar to Doughty's are not even going to be reviewed, the Johansen and Wilson plays. DoPS literally just said "we can't tell if there's head contact" so they gave up. Nice.

You'd think Doughty was the one with the long record of dangerous hits and Wilson the one who has one fine on his record considering how quickly they decided to do a phone hearing with Doughty and how they barely bothered reviewing the Wilson one.

Not sure if there is anything to suspend Wilson on here, that angle you can't tell anything, if that's the only angle they have, how do you suspend when you can't tell what he hit positively?

It's more about how quickly they said "never mind not even going to look," and I find it odd they don't have multiple camera angles of that hit or the Johansen one (center ice! ffs) when they were able to conveniently find 5 of Doughty.

The camera angle excuse is bs. Most camera operators focus on where the play is, and that's where the play was, so how could they not have multiple camera angles?
