Well, that's an unexpected gift, especially after the hockey gods tried to spark the Ducks with that bounce. Thanks Vancouver! *takes shower*

We will have to pray for a miracle for the Canucks to defeat the Ducks.

The Ducks are 3-0-0 this season against Vancouver. The scores for those games?
4-1, 5-0, 3-0.

On the other hand, the Kings were 2-2 against Vancouver. The scores for the Kings-Canucks games: 3-2 (L), 4-3 (W), 6-2 (L), 3-0 (W).

The Kings scored 11 goals and allowed 11 goals against Vancouver. Whereas the Ducks in three meetings thus far have scored 12 and allowed 1 goal against the very same team.

Don't expect help from other teams in order for the Kings to qualify for a playoff spot.

Ouch. LOL.

So the bad team wins to help us
And the good team loses in OT to hurt us the most.
A kings win tomorrow and/or Friday will do wonders

If the Kings beat Arizona (regulation or OT) and the Ducks in regulation we are going to pretty much lock up 3rd in the Pacific. This team better come out flying on Thursday and play one of their best games of the season to give themselves that chance on Friday.

Exactly. There are zero excuses for this team not going all out. If they don't get the bounces, or Arizona has an outstanding game, I can live with that. But the desire and effort better be there.

I don't need more reasons to dislike the Sharks, but they keep giving me more. Screw the Blues too. Selling at the deadline and then doing this for the 2nd year in a row. Stop it. 9-3-1 since trading Stastny.

The Ducks may have had their trap game against the Canucks. You can see a scenario where the Kings say, ok, try and get through the Arizona game as best you can, but the head to head against the Ducks is the big one. The Coyotes play tonight though, so they're on a back to back against the Kings. Which may mean something or nothing, you never know.

Didn't notice they are on a back to back. Even more reason that this has to be 2 points for the Kings, it just has to be.

I still think the Kings are going to lose on Friday, but put the pressure on the Ducks none the less. If the Kings were to beat Arizona and the Ducks they'd be 4 points up on the Ducks, with them having a game in hand which would be Colorado on Sunday. Even if they won that, they'd have to make up 3 points on the Kings over the final 3 games, the Kings final 3 games are home games with the teams (Colorado, Minnesota, Dallas) all playing the Ducks in Anaheim the night before. Even with Muzzin out, it would be a really big choke if the Kings missed the playoffs with the way the schedule is set-up.

And what will Stevens do with Quick on the back to back, I feel like at this stage you have to ride Quick both games. If you win Thursday you can bury the Ducks on Friday, and if you lose Thursday then Friday becomes almost a must win.

Imo play quick on Thursday. If they win, let Campbell go on Friday, he's played well enough.

If they lose on Thursday, then they have to go with quick again Imo.

Good on the Canucks. Sometimes the toughest games at the end of a season are against those who have nothing to play for but pride.

I expect the Yotes' to put forth a solid effort tomorrow.

A 3rd place finish in the Pacific Division may be required to make the playoffs. I can see the Blues and Avs both getting in with wildcards.
