Ducks, Hawks, and Kings are a combined 1-6...crazy

New era. All 3 teams have played some tough hockey over the years, and each core is getting older. Now we're seeing teams like the Caps, Dallas, and Florida take over. The Blues and Sharks are also making cases for themselves.

Yep, the winds of change are blowing. I got yelled at for suggesting that much earlier :D

Younger teams are catching up, older talent is slowing down, guys with a lot of miles that want to play like running backs are starting to feel it. It's the sports life cycle, it is what it is.

But it's really nice to watch the Ducks flounder a bit seeing as so many of them were ready to parade over our window getting slammed shut...gives them something other than us to worry about. They've been getting wrecked all series for acting entitled and they're entitled to nothing but some good ol fashioned Predator ****biscuit hockey. Told everyone that was a dirty ass team.

After watching what the Preds are doing to the Ducks, we'd be in the same boat but without all the cheap stuff the Ducks have been doing. The Preds look very good and are just going for it.

im a ducks fan, and even i am starting to find humor in how pathetic they are come playoffs. this team is definitely san jose 2.0, except for a championship won with a mostly different core than the current one.

Attention playoff teams: don't take penalties against the Caps. 4-6 tonight on the pp.

5 for 9, 8 for 17 in the series.

this game, if you can call that, was one of the most embarrassing things I've witnessed in 40 ys as a fan.
Can't beat a good team so the Flyers do what they do best, goon it up.

White skates across the ice to hit Orpik and Orpik can't even stand, needs to be half carried off the ice and gets booed by the crowd as he's lead off. The cheap shots kept coming ,including Bellmare boarding Orlov...Fans begin to throw down the commutative Ed Snider bracelets that were given out (shout out to that PR person, let's give the audience something easy to toss on the ice) , were warned by the ref to quit or a penalty would be assessed. Lou Nolan the announcer begs them to 'stay classy, leave the bracelets on as they were intended' and they kept throwing them, even showed Orlov on the bench after being hit, and he got pelted with them. As Nolan announces the penalty, he adds a 'way to go'.
and of course I'm stuck with the hometown feed and Bill Clement, the color guy says (of the penalty for tossing the bracelets on the ice) that it perhaps shouldn't be a penalty because it could have been Capitals fans dong that. Really Bill???

Awful display by what should be a professional hockey team. As has been the case for some time, esp in the post season, ZERO leadership.

The Caps had a 5 min PP with 7 left and then because of the other penalties the Flyers kept taking, 5 x 3's. Trotz was so pissed off he kept his top unit out there , at one point the Caps had the puck moving like the harlem globetrotters for 2 min 40 seconds straight

Just a horrendous display, if Hexy had any guts, he'd bench the whole team and bring up the Phantoms. .

Nothing wrong with that hit, he just finished his check, didn't even hit him hard, shoulder contact as well. It was just bad luck his head hit the glass/stanchion.

Wow, that's poor behavior. And 9 penalties? How do you do that?

The Kings winning last night makes watching other games around the league much more enjoyable. I'm in a better mood.

Can't wait for the NSH/ANA game tonight. The place is going to be buzzing, and watching the Ducks go down 3-0 will be great fun.

I should want the Ducks to lose tonight, being our rival, but I have mixed feelings. I have a lot of respect for the way they came from being near the bottom of the rankings to pulling off the string of victories they did to grab the division title. That's incredibly hard to do.

I respect that too, but it would be hilarious if they dug themselves out of that hole and lose in the first round.

Caught the end of that debacle. I've never heard Pierre McGuire so deflated when commentating. That was an embarrassing spectacle, even Simmonds called it "****ing embarrassing" and the coach nodded in agreement on the bench. Bad way to end the game, and most likely the series.

That was nice, but I hope they burn in hell. :)

Ugly, yeah.

Remember the Kings-Avs game at Staples from ...googles... 2002?

HASENFRATZ!

(LA Kings fans littered the Staples Center Ice with trash after a typically awful Hazenfratz call went against the home team-- and after Kings' coach Andy Murray positively lost his ***** on the bench. It was bonkers. Spring, 2002.)

Hiller heading back to Switzerland.

ALways liked him, not just becasue he was generous to us :sarcasm:

I don't see the Ducks going down 3-0. Each win is exponentially harder to get in a series and as lethal as Nashville is, the Ducks aren't phonies.
