You did see when the Ducks recently manhandled a (completely healthy at the time) Kings lineup at home though yes?
They made the Kings look like an AHL squad. That is tough to do.

Good value for the Leafs. I also like how they are leaving Torres with San Jose AHL affiliate as well.

I wonder how many leaf fans were telling the sabers they were an embarrassment for tanking last year, and what those same fans think of what they are no doing.

Good deal for both teams.
Sharks pickup Polak is a good defenseman and real good character player, good asset for them to have and will help them in the playoffs. Spaling is an average vet. depth center, that doesn't hurt have around, but has struggled in Toronto.
Leafs get more draft picks and Torres had to go for the money, to make it work under the CAP. The Sharks wouldn't take Spaling unless Torres went the other way.
I agree it makes sense for both clubs. However as the sharks are in our division I hope both Spalling and Polak walk as UFA's and they are left without picks. That's not a shot at the sharks at all, just cheering against a division rival.

From TSN this morning on a conference call , Lou Lamoriello on the 3rd trade this month for the Leafs...
Given the number of UFA's they can move, I'm guessing
Parenteau, Grabner, Brad Boyes, or Mark Arcobello get moved before the deadline. And the panel on the podcast said the Leafs have fielded calls on Winnik and Bernier.
Busy month for Papa Lou...
Per General Fanager, Leafs now have 27 picks in the next three drafts including 5 (2 firsts) in the first 3 rounds of 2016, 4 in the first 2 rounds of 2017
And more incoming...

THey finally have a management team in place that's trying to correct far too many years of mishaps. The fans should be ecstatic, the bricks are being put in place for a solid path to future success.

I actually wouldn't mind if the Kings added Matt Hunwick. He's been pretty solid this year in Toronto considering he had the human anchor, Dion Phaneuf as his partner for most of the season.
Has developed into a pretty solid guy on the backend, not a sexy name but reliable and plays a smart game.
Could probably be had for a 3rd, maybe 4th.

Honestly that Polak move is huge for the Sharks, that d-core is legit now. I know I know lolSharks and all, but this is by far the scariest, most complete team they've had, and I can't believe people are sleeping on them.

They are good, however they still need to figure out the playoffs. they have faltered to much in the past to take them seriously.
I think the Ducks will deal a d-man for a legit winger (Drouin?) and will become even scarier. People joke about the Pacific being so weak but I can see any of the Claifornia teams coming out of the West.
