or I'll trade your ass.

Holy crap, Burke has aged worse than Lombardi.

GM must be a hell of a stressful job.

Owner wants his kid to play more, coaches are coaching so he fires them for a patsy. Thankfully the OHL is responding

Christ, I imagine people are not lining up to own an OHL team. Don't get me wrong the owner is an idiot for pushing his son on the coach, but the rest of the team refusing to play a few months ago and not showing up for practice now is absurd.
Why does the coach want to even be there given the situation and relationship with the owner? He must not be in high demand.
Why are the players (some who are probable future draft picks) willing to jeopardize their future over this? Sure as hell wouldn't be the hill I would die on. Not like they are being abused.

Easy to blame the owner here, but there must be more to it than just being pissy about his sons playing time doesn't there? I worked for a place that during the interview they said the owner's kid would not work any overtime where as the rest of us were expected. It sucks but if you don't like go own your own business/team. What's that you cannot? Then better shut up and collect your pay cheque. I still worked and cursed at the guy who didn't have to work.

This owner is not doing his son any favors, and the son should nut up and tell his dad to butt out.

It's a bummer that Karmanos sold Plymouth which relocated to Flint. On the right weekend, you could see Michigan hockey/football, Plymouth, and the US National Team all within a 15 mile radius.

they just had someone on the fan 960 talking about it. He said that at the time when the Flint owner bought the team it was with the intent to see his kid play on the team.

So the OHL either knew this and didn't care, or didn't do their due diligence.

I blame the owner for not laying down expectations to coach before his hire (or if he was already hired when the team was acquired for not informing him then).

Komarov's just a great pest. Great clean shots to the opponent to get under their skin. McDonaugh is probably soooo pissed now ROFLCOPTERLMAOoooooo.

Another night when everyone behind us won [unless the Ducks find a way to blow a 4-1 lead]. Pick a help of a time to go into a slump.

The owner fired the coach and his assistant coach in November because he felt his son didn't get enough ice time. Everyone was up in arms, the OHL got involved, the coaches were reinstated and given new 3-year contracts. "In the wake of November’s turmoil, three of the five NHL prospects on the Firebirds’ roster made their way out of town. Multiple players requested trades through their agents." Now the owner Nilsen fired the coaches again. The owner and his peeps have now been suspended by the OHL. The team is demoralized and as mentioned, no one showed up to practice the other day. No one except the owner's son.

Nilsen has made a mess of this team.

The Sharks and Ducks have always been good teams in spite of their slumps. I still think it will end up:

1. Ducks
2. Sharks
3. Kings-if they can hold off Arizona(*** better)

Said it before, would just like to see momentum going into the playoffs. Don't care where LA finishes in the standings as long as they are in.

You guys are fine, just going through what the ducks were going through early in the season. Cant bury those chances.. Everyone knows Kings in the playoffs is a different animal. I still think you guys loosing williams was a big blow to you guys during playoff time. Dude was just clutch..

He sure has...but the whole reason why he purchased the team in the first place was for his kid to play. Doesn't sound like it was any secret so how the OHL could approve the sale and now be pissed is beyond me.
Not at all advocating for the owner here, I just hate when big brother messes with people's ****

The sharks have been scary good on the road so let them have home ice haha.

Never got the Williams hate. Wish he was still a King. Lucic kinda evens him out tho. Wonder how LA would fair today had they been able to keep Williams and their first? Losing Gabby hurts too.

I do think in the end the records will even out into a close division race.
