Hawks fan here. You guys should be claiming Jiri Sekac. Guarantee you we're hoping he clears waivers. Wasn't really given a shot in Chicago, as he kind of got in Q's doghouse for a couple of turnovers. Plays well enough defensively and has a lot of talent.

Eagerly awaiting how DL responds to all our moves today.

Man, a lot of venom out there for Sekac. I think he'll be put in a good position to succeed (or fail!) in arizona, more than the short rope he's been given in the past.

I guess it means that the Hawks' window is shrinking faster than we thought? although Bowman has done this before, and then the following season he went on to trim the fat only to build another contending team, lol. I dunno, I cant help but admire what he does. he's nuts but it works out

Have to respect Bowman. I don't think anyone is as good at managing the cap on the fly as he is. How many guys on the hawks are making less than $1 million? 12 or so? And they're contributing.

But that requires a steady stream of first and second year guys on ELCs. Trade to many picks and that flow gets interrupted at some point.

I think the biggest thing with them is they will only wave if they can stay together. And that is going to make it very hard on both teams to be able to pull it off.

The NHL should know by now you need to put bigger numbers for these stadium games. The Wings looked like they used every inch of the jersey , while the Avs just used their normal game jerseys. Even the logo looks too small.
