Bruins and Kings both surprised me that they missed last year. I am not surprised to see both in the playoffs, but am that both are at the top of their divisions

They had a what, 96 point season? Not bad just that the stars aligned for Calgary, Winnipeg, and Vancouver last year.

......and OT killed LA.

This year's 14-15 Kings in OT:

Florida, 1-6
Minnesota, 1-8
Nashville, 1-12

Florida and Nashville look to be ok, but it might keep the Wild out this year.

It's hilarious how Ranger fans seem to be the most adamant about Karlsson > Doughty.

Because they were trumpeting their D was the best in the league and McDonagh > Doughty and it's not even close before the series. THen Pouliot knocked the puck off DOughty's stick and scored and apparently they turned their TVs off for the rest of the series.

Between that and being adamant that Quick is garbage and didn't outplay Hank at all (even though they said literally before the series that save percentage is everything and changed completely after Hank put up a .923 and Quick a .932), there's a whole lot of bitterness they're still sweating off. It may be a while.

I have no ill will toward the team itself, but those fans are so self entitled for having only one cup over the past 75 years.

Most of those fans were still sucking on pacifiers in 1994. So they're gripping hard with this current iteration of their team. But I do love how they latch onto a fellow Eastern Conference player, who their team held to a single point in a 7 game series, as the shining beacon of defensive surpremacy. Especially since their McDonagh v Doughty chest thumping comparison has fallen flat since the SCF defeat.

I've noticed that too. They were proclaiming him as the second coming of Bobby Orr.

Ok, Mercury Insurance just flat out trolled the Duck broadcast by showing a playoff ticket promo for the Kings.
I mean it wasn't even subtle either.
