Around the League '15-'16--PLAYOFFS? edition

Sheesh looks like my worst nightmare for a Cup Finals is looking more and more likely to happen. Sharks - Penguins finals. If I have to see one of these two teams raise the cup I'm gonna slit a wrist. Caps need to pull through.
 
Pens and Sharks both look like teams on a mission. Wasn't expecting the Pens to dismantle the Caps this bad. The Pens making this run makes me feel like our core can turn it around once more and make it far, I just don't believe its going to happen with Sutter though.
 
and another jack adams coach bites the dust...what a joke. Quenville should have won more and same with Sutter however it goes to the team that exceeds expectations the most.

The Caps aren't getting 'pushed around'. They played poorly in game 1 and got a win, poor 2 periods in game 2 and Pens barely won and totally dominated last night, to the tune of 49 SOG's and lost. And yes, they did look mighty good last night, esp Ovie.

It is refreshing to see the Crosby lives up to his usual disappearing act in the playoffs.

And with LeTang probably missing for at least 1 game, Pens won't be as lucky in the next few games.

I kinda want to see Jumbo Joe win a cup before he retires. Always have liked him, just plays for the wrong club.

I am full on rooting for the blues as I win $800 if they win.

Also I win 7 bottles of booze if the Pens win.

Not sure what happened to him, he's been brutal in all 3 zones since game 1 vs Philly. Turnovers, poor decisions, passing issues, trying to stickhandle thru players. And dumb penalties and yet Trotz rewards him with more ice time, same with Chimera who's been awful.

Maybe that goal he got last night into the gap Murray left will help.

agreed..murray stole that one last night..something you need in the playoffs..just look at how the kings won in 2012
 
I wouldn't mind SJ winning it all, they look motivated as ****. If they win it'd be deservedly so, its not really a big deal. How great is it to see an American player in Pavelski be so dominant? He made Kopitar look like Hanzal out there.
 
I am starting to like the Dallas stars more and more. Even though they lost, the game on Sunday was so fun to watch. I hope they make it to the finals.

There is a lot of great American talent right now. Kane (as much as I hate him and his stupid finger wag celly) is the best offensive threat in the league (maybe besides Ovie), Schneider and Quick are two of the top goalies in the word (not to mention Bishop), and on D Carlson, Suter, McDonagh and Buff are legit top end blue liners.

Great period of US hockey

Dallas vs Pittsburgh would be a good run and gun series. Dallas vs Washington would not be as entertaining as I think Washington would crush them

Lindy Ruff's teams are always entertaining. It's an interesting test to see if a terrific offense and a not-so-great D can win a Cup in this era. I have my doubts but they are giving it a shot.

Chicago's first Cup was won by a team that could bail them out offensively if need be, but they had a better top 6 overall than Dallas has now.

I don't think their D is as shaky as their goaltending
