Goals and Assists... No.
Will his line finish the year with as many points, combined, as Kane?

To be fair, as I've pointed out before, not many third lines will.

Last year's highest scoring team--TBL--rolled J.T. Brown, Cedric Paquette, and Ryan Callahan as a third line in the finals. Brown had 9 reg season points, Paquette 19, and Callahan was an anomaly because of his time in the top six with 54--yet even then, combined, that's 82 points. If you drop to the guys who were 'real' third liners like Namestnikov we're talking around 20 points apiece average. Sound familiar?

Especially this year. Kane is on pace for an unreal 121 points.

20 points just seems like it's so far. I'm just hoping that line doesn't hit a slump. The level of plays been pretty good so far.

Goal differential
2nd AZ -14
3rd Van -7
SJ -3
Cal -25
EDM -8
ANA -17 last place :help:

-Is it worse to continually live in the basement with no hope so that you don't get your dreams up. Oilers

-Make the playoffs, add a "solid" D get your hopes up and then crash and burn the next year. Cal

-Have Pacific division banners last couple of years and the team crashes to last place.

-Go to the Finals and lose then win the Presidents trophy to get booted in the first round the next year by the 8th place team, then lose to the Flames in the playoffs last year. Van

-Be a mediocre team that makes the playoffs regularly, but doesn't have what it takes. SJ

Ok, I'm cheering for AZ... -14 goal differential and their in second. If you're a dumpster fire it's cool. Just got to learn how to roll with it.

id really like to see the Pacific playoff teams be LA, Arizona, and Edmonton - just for the hell of it.

You might get your wish. It's pretty wide open right now.

A couple of weeks ago, I was sure that the three California teams would be the three from the Pathetic. Now, I'm not so sure, with the Sharks executing the choke job a bit early this season, and with the Ducks continuing to stagger along, and with a captain that is clearly not a good leader this season. A little bit of adversity and Getzlaf is acting the fool on the ice and in the press (haven't heard anything about the locker room...yet). I guess its easy to be a captain of a team that is always winning (except for playoff success), but not if the team is struggling.

Rangers fans are up in arms that Tanner Glass is back on the team after this roster move, though.

Sad to see Stoll waived.

Someone will pick up Stoll on name alone tbh. I was more surprised about Khudobin.

...please don't let it be us lol

Crazy how Stoll was like THE premier checking line 3C just a couple years ago.

Then again, Richards was a premier 2C a couple years ago.

Some team might, but I would be surprised, it would be risky, he hasn't done much of anything to merit a roster spot and tends to be a step behind, that is in the games I 've seen him in that are fairly recent in the last month or so. He loses a lot of battles on his shifts.

And as several of the NY media articles brought out, other than faceoff's where he was still solid, Stoll's metrics are poor, esp. puck possession. Glass has been solid the last few games he's be in there and controlling the puck and creating scoring chances, something Stoll has not been able to do.

Most teams that are hunting for a bottom line C, would check with their scouts who have seen him play and that's where I think the risk is, he's been a liability on the ice , most recently in the loss to the Oilers Friday night when he was caught and surrendered the puck in the neutral zone that led to a 2-1 w/ Taylor Hall netting the GWG.
And that contributed to him being a healthy scratch on Sat.
