I still think Dean would have acquired Lucic if the Kings made the playoffs or even won the Cup. He didn't get rid of any roster players and everything he traded (contrary to what most believe) was still a ways away from NHL duty. Miller would not be on this roster right now. Dean has apparently coveted him for many years (as with Richards) so when the opportunity arouse, he seized it.

Sounds more like he refused to adapt to coaches systems. That's not calling him lazy.

I agree....his shot was unstoppable at one point. (I wonder if his work ethic or wrist injury was his doom)

Streaky Sharks were waiting on Couture as though he was the return of the Messiah. They made such a big deal, as though his return was going to right the ship. Correct me if I'm wrong, but this team just went 1-4 at home, after going 6-0 on the road, all without Couture.
This team just follows the same script each season: start out like gang-busters (it's our year!), then come back crashing down to earth (trade everybody!), then false hope again (could it be our year, maybe?), then reality sets in again (**** this team).

They've been horrible the last two weeks at holding leads. This game is the best example, but that Calgary debacle definitely garners honorable mention.

Quick seems to play rather well when he's getting peppered. So who knows. But I'm not counting on it.
