And neither of those guys allow a WHOPPING over 2.6GAA per 60 minutes in 5 on 5 hockey. Guess who does? Suter is currently at 1.82, Drew at 1.56. I heard EK is good defensively though. Must be bad luck being on the ice for so many goals against. Actually probably Mehtot's fault.

:shakehead Seriously the posters there are the worst. Absolutely delusional!

Since you asked...

I'm sure the argument from his fans is that, "Well, EK plays so many minutes! He's bound to allow more goals against!". Then explain how Doughty is second on our team in GAA (McNabb is #1). EK is the WORST on their team by far in GAA in even strength hockey at 2.66GAA, Methot is 2.56. The next is Wideman at 2.05GAA. All while having the least defensive zone % starts of all defensemen on his team. Huh that's interesting. I wonder why Doughty's GAA is so low, while playing so many minutes? Is it because he's getting propped up by McNabb's defensive prowess? I mean, I really like McNabb, but we know the answer. Brad Doty has already mentioned it but EK is second worst in the league behind Giordano in the Jack Johnsonian stat of whoops I just happened to be hopping on the ice while a goal is scored against my team not my problem category. There is no defense (see what I did there?!) for these glaring stats. But whatever...points! And that my friends is why Ottawa will never win jack **** in the playoffs. That brand of hockey is not winning hockey. Every mistake in the playoffs can cost you a game or series.

Erik Karlsson, while I think is a generational Defender. Has yet to prove he can carry a series defensively in the playoff's like Drew Doughty can.

Sadly the Norris is a regular season award.

Anaheim beginning to look like Anaheim again, with a 14-8-4 record since their horrendous start at 1-7-2. Say what you want about Jesus, but with two road shutouts in a row, he has stabilized their shaky goaltending situation. They still can't score. Won the last two games by a 1-0 score. It's got to be a concern for them; however, it is clear to me that they will be in a top third spot by the end of the season, and probably much sooner than that.

I still believe San Jose rounds out the top three. The pretender right now in the top 3 is Arizona. I'm amazed that their sieve Domingue gutted out a win last night, but Winnipeg is one ****ed up team, so I guess I shouldn't be too surprised. Still, their goaltending is atrocious and I see them dropping down fairly quickly.

I don't think Anaheim catches the Kings, however. It's time to see how the playoffs are shaping up: our first round would be Minnesota if the playoffs started today.

The Norris has just become a points race really. It's always been those that score but there were other things that went into consideration as well.

The Coyotes are kind of plucky. Wouldn't count them out yet. Not in this division. They're like Calgary last year, in that they've got a really good division record, which is keeping them in the race.

this is a hot take but i honestly think the only teams i would really worry about facing right now are WSH and CHI - and the latter due mostly to what I know they can do in the playoffs, and because they typically do well against Quick.

maybe i'm a bit too optimistic, but the Kings actually look very strong this season.

also re: Karlsson - not sure how much more of that thread i can take, people just keep rehashing the same flawed arguments literally every single page like clockwork, reading comprehension seems low. I wouldn't trade Doughty for anyone, and I do think Karlsson is an top tier elite talent, but some of the rhetoric being thrown around is kind of ridiculous.

Jesus Christ, that roving cam made me dizzy.

What the ****.

I really think NBC knows that camera angle blows, but they do it anyway because "Dangummit, we paid $$$$ for that dang camera and we are going to use it!!!!"

That song sucks. Who the **** is that ***** band?

Jesus H. Christ, NHL. Get your ****ing act together and get some REAL music. **** me.

There's a pretty big band from Boston. Maybe you've heard of them. They go by the name Aerosmith.

I don't get it. Why didn't they use them instead? Why these bubble-pop **** bands? Hell, at least SoCal used Kiss, now that was a stroke of genius. Also, they should have used Metallica for the game last year, perfect because a couple of their band members have traitored and support the Sharks.

Pretty sure they've been dead since 1979. Speaking of dead, it's a damn shame Brad Delp died. Boston would be awesome.

Sorry, personally I don't have any sympathy for someone who commits suicide...life is to precious to throw it away.

Having said that, I agree. Boston would have been off the charts for this spectacle.

I'm gonna pretend that I didn't read that. Aerosmith is one of the best rock bands of all time.

I didn't know he committed suicide, just more commenting that it's a shame the music died with him.
