No doubt...It's so frustrating watching the Rangers. They block a lot of shots don't really possess the puck that much, counter with a 4th liner firing a puck from the right dot. Then cap it off with some really lucky skate deflections. ARGHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not a Fowler guy, but there's lots of good defencemen on that list.

You're right, but inside of the top-10, there are guys who had good careers, there are guys who were obviously complete misses, and there are guys who were vastly overrated. For one example, I would put Jay Bouwmeester in the vastly overrated category. I'll let you all decide which one Cam Fowler belongs in - though, it is worth noting that, only one guy in that short grouping is anywhere near his 0.44 points/game average - Marcus Ragnarsson ... a guy who went on to score 177 points in 632 NHL games.

I would never use "vastly" in front of overrated with Bouwmeester and Fowler had a pretty good season as well as pretty decent post season performance. Fowler is still only 21 and developed higher up than he should have.

Bouwmeester is still one of big minute eater guys I would like on my team, if I were to build one from scratch. Not my first choice, but still ahead of 90%, or better, of the other d-men. He's a bit overpaid now, but that should correct a bit after next season, thus the only reason I would even put him in the overrated category at all. For example I would take him over Wiz in a second. Bouwmeester will have a lot of interest if he makes it to UFA status.

I would love to build a team of the league whipping boys. To a modest extent we have some of that already in Columbus.

Same here. I suspect the Jackets will look very much the same in their first one or two forays into the playoffs. Seems to be the normal order of things.
