The Canadians almost out. That's just too bad.. That would be two down of the Sens can finish it off. Can the Hawks finish their series off? That would be cool.

Sadly it looks like the Pens are going to win this game. I really dislike Crosby.

I read it and I still don't know exactly whats up. Is Halak upset because Hitch wouldn't let him play, and kept him from stretching? Or is everyone upset that Halak didn't stretch and isn't prepared when he was close to being called upon?

The second one.

Really hoping Caps can knock off the Rangers and the Blues rally to do the same with LA. I'm beginning to get that ol' Jacket feeling that we'll be watching a Cup final of LA-NY.

And switching to the Ducks because I see them as a better 2nd round opponent should the Kings advance.

An interesting ranking

James Mirtle of the Toronto Globe & Post put together a list of vitals from all team as of Jan 18 (opening rosters). Here's how Columbus looked:

Average weight - 204.5 (ranked 12 in the league)
Average height - 73.3 (ranked 13)
Average age - 26.9 (ranked 30, ie, youngest)

San Jose was the heaviest - 210.7 - and tallest - 74
Calgary was the lightest - 195.5
Montreal the shortest - 72.1
Florida and New Jersey were the oldest - 29.7

Significant? Don't know. Except for the age, that may bode well for the future of the CBJ. It would be interesting to see comparable numbers from the past - 10, 20, 30 years ago. I have no doubt the differences would be significant and remarkable!

From Larry Brooks, NY Post:

Rick wanted to be in NY and wanted the pressure that accompanies the Rangers in the playoffs. As I've said, I'd love to see him succeed and have the Rags fail. Right now, just the opposite is taking place. Nash and Ovechkin are two of my favorite players in the league and they've combined for one goal, so far! Should be a good game to watch, tonight.

If LA advances past STL, it is to the advantage of the CBJ for them to lose in that second round.

If DET wins then they would face CHI leaving a SJS match-up for LA

If ANA wins they would face LA and SJS draws the Blackhawks.

Tougher match up for LA, Ducks or Sharks?

Sharks imo.

I think I've read that from their fans too.

Looks like Brooksie is calling Nash a p**sy.

Actually it sounded like he was saying that this he isn't preforming to the level required of a player of his stature in the playoffs and that he figures Nash will learn what he needs to do soon or later. Hopefully while he's still a Ranger.

a la LeBron James, another marquee player with early playoff struggles and high expectations (and those two are alike in other ways, too :madfire:)

Still, Dorse getting more ice time in the 3rd than Nash? That's something.

I said in another thread, I'm glad for Moore, Brass and Dorse to be doing well and being embraced by the Rangers fans. Doesn't bother me one bit not seeing Nasher putting up difference-making numbers in the playoffs

Damn. I just took another look at that play. Look who just glides into the bottom of the frame. No hustle or drive to help on the play.:shakehead

In real time I don't think he had a chance. The guy who blew it was 38 who imo should have covered the scorer and let Holtby deal with the puck.

I know he probably had no chance but I just like to see effort. But yes, the defender should have taken at least a quick glance to see where the skater was at.
