I don’t know what else Poirier has to do to prove he’s “ready”. He’s come all the way back from last year’s injury, and his numbers are as good or better than what Razzy’s were with Stockton at around the same age. I don’t know where you get off saying the Flames don’t need another offensive-minded player when they’ve scored the fourth-fewest goals in the entire league. And it’s not just the offense that he would bring to their top-four; it’s his skating and poise with the puck. Defense can be taught, but skill is something a player just has. I’m sure working with Huska would serve to help him round out his game. Bean handles the puck like a damn hand grenade. Barrie skates like he’s constantly stuck in first gear. Hanley is probably the best of the three, but he doesn’t do anything that Solo doesn’t do as well or better. One of the guys here recently sold me on Kuznetsov, I didn’t realize he was leading the team in +\- by a fair margin. I still say Grush needs a bit more time so we can see what we truly have in him. At any rate, I think we can agree that there are far better options than what they are rolling with right now.
