- Manny Franco is the leading rider with 25 wins. He is having a similar year to 2018 which was his best as a pro.
- Heman Harkie won for the first time since July 4 and for the 6th time this year. His skid was snapped at 59. Winning trainer Steven Jerkens, a son to Hall of Famer Allen Jerkens, doesn't send out too many horses but won for the first time since November which ended a skid of 15 defeats.
- Race 2: Mosienko was the winner. An old-time hockey reference?
- Chuckie Lopez, who will be 60 years of age next year, won two of three starts. He has won four of his past seven starts, He has bounced around different tracks in Philly, Virginia, Maryland and Delaware in recent days.
- Leading riders: Carol Cedeno (62 wins) has two more victories than Alex Cintron.
- Leonel Reyes leads the early days of the meet with four victories.
- Race 7: In the finale, two gigantic tickets were cashed when the $.50 Pick 5 paid out over $119,000 and the $.20 Pick 6 returned $144,000+. Per Steve Anderson of the DRF: "The winning ticket was purchased for $288 through the Xpressbet account wagering service, according to a track official."
