Crushed!

These hits are impressive! But, after awhile, there won't be too many experienced players in the league, and more so our conference, and even more so our division, that are going to walk right into these hits like we keep seeing! The smart play on McNabb will become to entice him to start to come over, flip the puck deep sooner, and then either avoid him to the left and apply pressure to beat him to the puck, or protect yourself and take one for the team, but McNabb will either be in the box, or he will abort, and be left out of position!! DD can make these exact same hits if he wants to try, but players that have seen him a lot are looking for it!

Noted. Thanks.

Yet Rob Blake was able to line up people for hip checks his whole career right along the wall in almost the same spot.

Scott Stevens would like a word. You play hockey at all ?

At speed it's pretty hard to avoid getting hit, when you are lined up.
Niklas Kronwall's seems to do well, even with a reputation.

Are you guys comparing McNabb to Stevens and Blake? I guess time will tell. Yes, I've played a lot of hockey! I hope you guys are right!!! And to demonstrate your point, it always seemed like Lindros kept walking into Stevens!!!

Skill wise (No), McNabb is nowhere near Stevens or Blake.

But if someone is good at lining people up and flattening them, that is a skill alone it itself.

McNabb looks pretty good at it. It's what he was good at in Jr hockey, and in the AHL as well.

Also, after awhile, he would eat my stick! He would know that's coming just as much I know his hit is coming!!!

I just finished watching the game late. Not gonna read all 13 pages, but...

WTF Doughty? Brainfart on ice tonight.

I was kidding! What I am saying though is after awhile players know who is on the ice for a shift! So, when you know this, there are several things you can avoid, like getting lined up!! With that said, there will be plenty of people that don't know its coming, like the eastern conference!

I will see if I can find the Arizona sports radio interview Doan gave last year.

He actually was cracking jokes, and pretty funny. The host asked him about the Kings.

Doan was hilarious, said "I hate that team, because they are so good". "Also because our Defenders constantly ***** and moan at us, for not working as hard as the Kings forwards do on Defense".. The whole studio busted out laughing, Doan included.

It was a pretty funny interview.

Good news is that he lines up one guy a game and nails them. He takes what is presented. Your argument is logistically flawed. You build it around an assumption that all he does is go out and leave everything to lower the boom.

I heard that interview. I think it was on TSN during the playoffs. They asked Doan something like "What makes the Kings so good" or something to that effect. In addition to what Damacles said, his reply was something like: because the Kings stars work so hard. Kopi, Carter, etc are all guys who work hard all over the ice and make you earn everything. And he had complimentary things to say about the supporting players like King and Lewis.
