Brutal player cant see him getting 10 pts this year. Should retire and consider a career in fast food

A "brutal" player who has played in the NHL for a number of seasons ?

Can we honestly stop hating on this guy when he came here being sold on playing with the Sedins and playing on a competitive team ? He also used his NTC and had the right due to his wife being pregnant.

Good luck to him in Arizona.

Vrbata could easily notch 30 points with some of those young guns in Arizona, and at 1M it's really a low risk, high reward deal. Besides, I'm not so sure Vrbata would choose to retire from hockey to come work with you. ;)

He'll bounce back. He had terrible shooting percentage luck and could tell he checked out after the team team bounced him from the Sedins and went full tank mode.

I still see 15+ goals, 35+ points. Which at ~1 million, is well worth it.

Some people are a bit over exaggerating things.

This is your typical late offseason signing on the cheap.
Vrbata is old, and arizona wants to see if theres a little bit more gas left in the tank.

Every year there is a signing like this. I'm not sure why this is being so bent out of shape.

Hitting 30 points is a lock...honestly, hitting 20G's is probably a lock. He had 31 in year one with VAN playing with the Sedins, then the next year he misses 19 games and when he's in the lineup isn't even playing with the Sedins and can't find chemistry with the guys the coach stuck him with, and it's all of a sudden, "Vrbata is on the decline and can't play anymore?" I'm not really buying it.

He'll be a good pickup for the Coyotes. I think he'll be one of the better signings of the summer.

The contract Vrbata received shows you what the league's GMs believe but considering the money invested-Good deal IMO.

After seeing him play many seasons in the desert I would disagree. Never saw any of that. I think Vancouver was/is the problem, not Vrbata.

The only time he plays well is when there is no pressure to perform, aka when playing for Arizona.

Sign three year deal with Tampa? Quits

Gets removed from Sedin line? Quits

Playoffs start? Quits

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying this is a bad signing, but the point is that lliterally anything other than a bonus-laden low-face-value contract would have been horrible
