And yet, he was traded as a cap dump. at your service ;)

I don't think a 2nd and a 7th is all that high of a price to clear 4.5 mil.

People acting like Philly needed to give up a 1st sounded insane.

Very good deal for Arizona though, They'll easily get more picks out of him at next seasons TDL.

I'm not surprised Philly didn't have to add to unload Gost (whose contract isn't that bad), but I am quite surprised they got an actual return for him in this environment.

Not sure what this really accomplishes for Arizona.
They did add. A 2nd and a 7th, with nothing coming their way.

A prime example of what a dumbass of a GM the Kraken are stuck with. Those picks could have been going to Seattle.

You mean it would've made sense for Seattle to give up a 2nd to dump Ghost after drafting him because nobody in the league wants him? Sure.

lol you're on drugs

lol, I'd say the analysis I gave (Ghost is worth about a 2nd and a bit more and that they would try to bargain to a first) is pretty damn close.

Oh definitely and PHI could clear cap this way. Not saying it is a bad proposal, seems quite reasonable actually but I wonder if PHI which did not look like a contender would be ready to part with their 1st this year
Looks like they didn't want to give up the first.

Yep, no cigar: I think the Coyotes eventually need to trade up the seconds into firsts though or they're in a rough boat.

100%. I remember McPhee walking out with a bunch of 2nds after it was all said and done. Obviously he fleeced a few teams too and that’s what Francis was trying to do. But Seattle should be the team with 3 2nds this year and 4 next year. But instead it’s Arizona. Props to Bill Armstrong.

The flyers young hyped defense from back in 2014-2016 days is basically gone

Morin is a bust
Ghost fell off due to injuries and is a cap dump
Myers moved out (though got Ellis which is a good trade)
Hagg sucks

Luckily for them Provorov and Sanheim are good 1st and 2nd pairing options and they have York + that guy with first name starting with Z who are quite good
