Trade after the 2023 draft.

Detroit’s 2024 1st (top 10 protected, slides to 2025 unprotected if top 10)
Boston’s 2024 1st (unprotected)
Filip Zadina
Jared McIsaac
Add a 2nd in 2025 if Detroit makes the postseason

If they were going to trade him I'm sure they'd want a key piece, not a 7 point Zadina or McIssac who isn't even in the league, both of whom are the same age as Keller. He's young, playing well and signed long term. Seider or someone of his potential would need to be going back in a hypothetical trade from Detroit I imagine.

AZ isn't interested. Keller and Crouse were given the option to move on and opted to stay. He is controlled through his prime and is continually getting better. There is no reason to move him; the Coyotes already have more picks than they realistically can use.

The selling point on Jakob was his cap hit. It was considered to be a great for what he could bring. I don't think the selling point was ever that he's more valuable than a player like Keller. With that said, Keller isn't signed to a ridiculous cap, but he does only have 1 year before the NTC kicks in, so I guess now would be the time to get that haul back. I don't think it makes sense for Arizona considering how much they need him. He's only 24. If you're getting 70+ points out of a 24 year old. You keep him. Those 7-7.5 cap hits are being given out to players putting up less points.

More than Chyrchrun by a lot. Chychrun is definitely overrated. I really like Keller.

Arizona hasn't had a first line anything in nearly 10 years if you wanna be generous. He's not going anywhere

The funny thing about off-season trades is players usually go for less than people on this board think they will.

Look at Fiala. Faber + a 1st. That is the quality of player Keller is and that’s his ballpark value.

2 1sts, a potential 2nd and 2 young players that might only need a fresh start is a solid trade.

Just curious on his value. Chychrun was supposed to get a haul, didn't happen. So, if that is the case, what would Keller be fetching? Is his value = < > than Chychrun?

I think Detroit has the assets to give, but thought I'd ask you lovely people what the cost would be.
Chychrun got a 12th overall pick and two mid-2nds.

A 18-20K arena is what? 3yrs away? Regardless of where it ends up.

Arizona might want to swap out the $7m actual salary for another paid by insurance one until they can get real revenues again. Load up on more futures that might materialize when they have a new arena to fill.

From Detroit I’d offer Berggren + Johansson + the higher of the 2024 1st + conditional 2nd if we make playoffs. If that’s not enoguh don’t think I’d do anything more.
Well that was just a little too much so we rescind this offer immediately.

He’s an above PPG 1st liner, we have 0 of them. Berggrens absolute best case is Keller, his likey case is a 60pt guy, Johansson will be a #4, and the 1st can be anything. Would you do a 2nd line winger + #4D + 1st for an elite 1st line winger? I would.

24 year old PPG 1st line winger, signed at a reasonable AAV through his prime for five more seasons.
Sounds like Carolina's ideal/dream player to acquire.

I know I'd be thrilled to get him, but we've missed out on other elite forwards.

Jarvis + Morrow + 1st round pick sounds like a good package to work from if Arizona would be willing to trade Keller.

At what point will Coyotes stop selling every good player they have as they enter their primes and actually build a hockey team for their prospects to develop within?
Chychrun was likely the last major piece to be dealt but if there is a market for Schmaltz I think they will deal him. Keller isn't likely getting moved.
