Speculation: Are you expecting a busy trade deadline in general and/or for you team?

Lots of teams still in the playoff race and we've already seen a handful of deals.

I think for the Habs, I'm not expecting it to be super busy. Evans signed takes away their biggest and most likely trade chip. Armia, Savard and Dvorak are possible names, but I don't think their value is really high. May just hold on to them. A 2C is a big hole, we'll see if they find one now or wait until the summer.

Vancouver - I think will be more quiet. Don't see anyone other than UFAs to be getting moved. Boeser and Suter. They want Boeser back, but don't want to go max term on him. Suter, could end up like Evans and extended or gets moved. But, Canucks management, not keen on draft picks. Mandate is to win to convince Hughes to extend long term in 2026.

Isles - I’d say somewhat busy with a return that no one expects to happen due to Lou trying to hide everything behind the Iron Curtain. My guess is that after Brock, Palms and possibly TDA go; he looks at moving Engvall with one of the obtained assets. I’d even suspect Pageau and Fasching might be out the door too.

I expect a few massive overpayments for rentals, which is why I'm OK with Detroit staying on the sidelines.

Unless some idiot wants Tarasenko, I guess.

Carolina - not really. We'll put Carrier on the LTIR and use that space to bring in maybe a depth middle 6 forward and a #7 RH dman since we should be getting Nikishin over during the playoffs.

SHOULD be looking to move Burns out and bring in a better RD1 but that feels more like an offseason UFA move rather than trading the guy in-season especially when he has an NMC.

It'll be a slow deadline in general, since too many teams are in the playoff mix. No bubble teams will want to pay a premium for a rental when you could get passed by the crowd and miss the playoffs anyway.

Not to mention not enough teams are so far out of it that they're sellers. So you have less players on the market than normal.

Not really. I think teams are blowing up Armstrong's phone because we're the only team "Out of contention" with very many interesting assets to trade. However, we've been pretty damn good recently and have a pretty nice schedule the rest of the way. There's like a 30% chance we make it. So, he's either going to do nothing, or he's going to ask for the moon for certain players.

No we really desperately need a #4 rd that is worth a damn, and to launch Dumba into the sun, but It's Nill he made his 1 move, so he's now going to sit on his hands, say prices were too high and "like where the team is at" while watching Dumba play like he belongs in the AHL 16mins a night

I wonder if they called Lou for TDA based on how well he fit into the Canes in previous years. I’m sure if Lou was to move him, it wouldn’t cost too much and he’s essentially signed for 18 cents a day.

definitely possible though I'm not sure how much Tony would like going from 2nd pairing PT to being #4 in the pecking order on his side of the D.

It's already pretty quiet. Seth Jones got traded, but that's the only really notable move in a long time. Usually there's a couple early moves before the actual deadline day.

The Lightning are pissing me off. We keep hearing that they're calling everyone. Julien BriseBois has openly stated that we can't limit ourselves or something to that extent. But otherwise? It's total crickets

Edit: YES!!! I SHIT POSTED THEM INTO A TRADE SECONDS LATER!
