They've shown they can be a great team. They've shown some gutsy efforts and have fought back and won a few games.

They've done it a few times... Can they do it 25 times in a row? That's what they'll need for the playoffs.

All fan bases have wagon jumper for sure but leaf fans are loyal. I’m 49, have never seen them even in the finals but I’m tattooed and still buy every piece of leaf merchandise I can. I’m not sure if there could be a more loyal fan base for a team that hasn’t one in over 50 years.

What shall they do when the Leafs win the cup which they most certainly will? I'm about as sure this will happen as any other year and I was pretty sure.
 
I recall sitting on kitchen floor listening to radio broadcast of Leafs vs Red Wings with Delvecchio and Howe. My mom cheered for Leafs as she did the dishes. My dad came through the door and asked who was winning, he was a Leaf fan. I remember the Sat night when I thought Foster and Bill were nuts calling Andy Bathgate playing for the Leafs.
56 more years. I am not on or off a wagon. Go Leafs... and btw..go Bills!

As I and others have opined -- the highs are too high, the lows too low. All good though as a lot of the OTP stuff is good entertainment.

Dunno man, I ain't Kreskin nor Nostradamus.

The only thing I'm sure about, is that this year like every year I sure do hope they win it all, and if they don't as crappy as that would be, life is bound to go on, that is of course as long as that giant asteroid misses us and the moon by a few hundred thousand miles.

I also recall listening to a radio broadcast of Leafs vs Red Wings with Delvecchio and Howe. The Leafs lost 13-0 and I remember the commentators ragging on Jim McKenny (the first Maple Leaf scapegoat that I remember) for scoring the 12th goal into his own net.

Yeah, McKenny caught crazy amounts of flack IIRC. Probably lucky for him there wasn't any social media back then.

Well it apparently happened before I was born so I can't verify it with my own eyes kind of like the moon landing real or not
