So let’s see. He suffered an injury, faced a setback in recovery. Then a second injury.

How is that 3 major injuries? It sounds like 1 major injuries and 2 minor and one of the minor happened while he was already injured so it wasn’t a third major injury.

I guess he was just making up the 3 major injuries.

So let me get this straight. The whole time he was saying Woll is unreliable is because he was injured once and had surgery and issues during his rehab? Seemed to me he was making things up.
Suffering an ankle injury while rehabbing is not a minor setback...

Or are you forgetting that he missed half a season ?

His latest injury happened six weeks ago.

Who knows when he'll be back ?

That's minor ?

Like I said, not sure about the definition of major injury vs. minor. Argue about that if you want.

Between the shoulder and first ankle injury he was out 8 months, which is pretty significant, imo. With this one, we'll see.

And, I disagree on "making things up," that's just hyperbole on your part and, hence, not worth arguing with, as there are 3 reported injuries, with or without dates or video.

But he’s saying 3 major injuries when there wasn’t. He’s also including the injury he had this year as the reason you couldn’t trust him in the past.

In fact, he was so concerned about the one shoulder surgery he had that he said he expected him to get injured this year. Do you agree with that?

He had surgery is why he missed the season. Not because of his ankle injury. It takes time to recover from surgery.

The worry I'd have, regardless of the 2, 3, 1, nonsense, is injuring the ankle the second time. I don't know if it's the same ankle, but, from my personal experience, sprains can become pretty repetitive. You'll think your great, for 6 months, then it happens again in the least dangerous situation. Hope the best for the kid.

And I didn't see him say he expected anything. The wording was, I believe, are you surprised.

It’s not the same ankle, it’s not even the same type of injury. This is a high ankle sprain. The same as Liljegren had this year.

2. The word also gets out that The Leafs messed with him and its even harder for then to attract UFAs.
I used to think this stuff, especially going way back to 2007 when the Bruins signed Dave Scatchard for 4 years and then bought him out a year into that contract. Clearly that didn't hurt the ability of the Bruins to bring in other guys, and it really hasn't hurt the ability of any other team to bring in guys. The perceived chances of success in the upcoming season has a lot more to do with guys wanting to sign in a certain location, and then other stuff falls behind that.

Its a lose - lose for The Leafs. They gave him the NMC, they cant punish him for using it.
Agreed, but that won't stop fans from wanting to punish players for exercising the clauses teams handed out.

He said he wasn’t surprised - which means it was his expected outcome. There’s clearly a very heavy bias he’s been spewing that isn’t based on the facts.

What assets do they have to sell at the deadline?

Don't see them going big, more of a transition year for them. Too many holes to plug and pay for players that likely can't be re-signed anyhow. Treliving making comments about having the team as is in October and they're not really playing well enough to earn a big move from the GM.

TB is starting to wake up and their PP keeps them in the mix as Vasi eventually plays well enough.
I think they can give TOR a battle for 3rd as TORs schedule gets rough while TB chases their 5th straight win.

That's not what it means. It's more that wasn't out of my expectations than I expected that. For example, if I say I'm not surprised an earthquake occured in San Francisco, it isn't me saying I expected one.

Relax.

Auston Matthews says no and scores 2. Marner follows up and makes it 3-2 Leafs.

Update: Auston Matthews puts up a hat trick. 4-2 Leafs.

How on earth can you have almost a goal a game player on your team and still barely squeak out wins, so embarrassing
