If my wife team (the Canadiens) or my long term (25 years) girlfriend team (the Wild) doesn't win the Stanley Cup, I'm hoping for the Jets. That would be fantastic.
15-1. Its never happened in historyIt's mid November and the Jets already have 30pts. That's unreal. I don't think I've seen another team off to this good of a start ever.
It's their stanley cup, leave em be
Happy was an understatement, I’m still really happy but what I mean is they’ll still be a thought in the back of my head about how they’ll do in the playoffs regardless of how many games they win in the regular season. Why not just enjoy it? If my Sabres win 14 out of 15 I’d be the happiest fan on earth!
Yes i completely agree, and Eric Comrie has looked solid so there’s no reason not to. Also everyone should watch the interview with Comrie on the Jets Instagram, he seems like an awesome guy.Hellebyuck IMO plays too much, and he's on pace for 66 this year.
Maybe get him in the low 50s to try and get the best of him in the playoffs. I mean, if you're really good, then shaving 10-15 starts should not get you out of the playoff race, particularly with this start.
They are riding him like a horse year after year.
The Pens might only hit 30 pts come February ....It's mid November and the Jets already have 30pts. That's unreal. I don't think I've seen another team off to this good of a start ever.
I wonder if the Jets are this good if players would be willing to be traded to wpg now.
I'm not even a Leafs fan but you have to admit it's pretty funny that the Jets are 0-fer against Toronto ever since Scheif's "nothing better than beating the Leafs" comment from a few years back.
They're certainly on a heater this year though, far exceeding even the most optimistic Jets' fans expectations I'm sure. Will see how the rest of the season plays out and whether or not they can maintain this massive cushion atop the Central for the next sixty games.
Even if they don't this has been a amazing ride and this record is going to be very tough to beat.I'm not even a Leafs fan but you have to admit it's pretty funny that the Jets are 0-fer against Toronto ever since Scheif's "nothing better than beating the Leafs" comment from a few years back.

I think that's the key word, team. I can honestly say that every Jet is playing well right now and they are playing as a team not as individuals .I just watched the Jets for the first time this season, as they beat up the Rangers at MSG last night. They are just a complete team in every facet of the game. Their power play is lethal (fun fact, it was #1 PP (Jets) vs #1 PK (Rangers) last night), and their breakout is so clean.
This team is for real!
Unfortunately, one thing all those teams have in common: they didn't win the Stanley Cup in those seasons.
I'll do bullet points rather than a long drawn out paragraphI gotta watch more Jets, because they seem to be doing this shit with a pretty special lineup.
Don’t you need a 1C? 2C? 1D? 2D?
They got Marky Vowels at 1C, definitely always considered a top center, and what’s his Namestikov at 2C. Or is that party Perfetti, the young stud no one speaks of? At 1D we have that dude from the Smiths who cries and doesn’t eat meat, he’s underrated, Morrison or something, and friggin Neal Pionk had 3 apples tonight. I don’t have a joke there, his name is crazy as is.
Point is- this is not a lineup you would think would burn villages, and it really doesn’t fit the mold of what you supposedly need outside the obviously stellar goalie. So what gives? Serious question, I assume they’re just 4 lines of speed and competence playing a good system together, but I’d like some insight. How are they this consistent with that roster, what are other teams missing?
So are the Jets your 'secretary at work' team or your 'neighbour's wife' team?If my wife team (the Canadiens) or my long term (25 years) girlfriend team (the Wild) doesn't win the Stanley Cup, I'm hoping for the Jets. That would be fantastic.
