He got bailed out by covid even before the cbj loss.

Right before the season ended we were on the brink of collapse
Quite possibly.......I recall they had a great record his first 25 games or so, but then dropped off quite substantially

Matthews -> Its not just a no its a OH HELL NO!!!

Marner -> Seems like a Yes

What about JT91, WN88 and MR44?

Its not the players' fault that the GM is a moron and couldn't put a competitive roster together.

Players' could have asked for the moon; the GM didn't have to give them the moon and the stars

GM's responsibility is to the franchise and fanbase more than the players.

Marner absolutely is. He ran Babcock out because his feelings were hurt. And now we're going to possibly lose Keefe, who has a damn good winning %, because Marner doesn't like his feelings being hurt.

Mcdavid has gone through 3 coaches. All these players have been in the league for 6+ years. By this time most players goes through couple of coaches

Keefe was never the right coach.

They look like it

People were calling OV a coach killer after

Boudreau, Hunter, Oates, we're coaches within a short period and we're all fired.

Same could be happening for 34 and 16 if they get Keefe fired.

Yeah started off well but then went downhill we were flip flopping with Florida by the end

Matthews is fine. He's as steady as they come.

Marner's issue doesn't have anything to do with the coach and more to do with himself. He's an emotional guy and that swings both ways. When he's at the top of his game, he's flying out there with a big smile on his face. But when he's down like right now, it starts showing up everywhere whether it's on the ice, in front of the media, or when dealing with the coach.

This side of him has shown up multiple times in do-or-die games too.

I think a coach needs to stick to his guns with a guy like Marner and set the tone. Not like Babcock but there's a middle ground too. Maintain the hierarchy or an emotional athlete will walk all over you.

There's more emotions than happy and sad, if he at least played mad when things aren't going his way it would be tolerable.

I would not brand them as coach killers per se. It is normal for top players playing for more than one coach before winning the Championship.

Mitch just wants to go home quietly, play some xbox and catch some sleep. He's not out here to ruin anyone's career. Keefe looks like the loud baboon capable of annoying everyone to the point they drown him out. I swear he drops more F bombs than he does actual strategy.

And yes I'm roasting Keefe, defending Marner but also implying Marner needs to wake up and start showing some heart all at the same time.

I voted no. If your coach has a delicate psyche they'd take a toll but i don't think either have so much baggage attached to them to overwhelm anyone.
I would also add that literally every coach would have a shit eating grin on his face if his boss told him he was adding Matthews.

No one here can answer that question with any certainty.
I can...the coach does not need any help he has done it'll on his own. Our GM killed our last coach, this one needs no help.

No ability to make changes on the fly. Over plays players to the point of exhaustion in far to many games.

Keeps putting lineups out without merit. Then even when a player is horrible keeps playing them in key situations.

Attacking players in the media is the death of a coach. He has done so too many times this year alone.
Look at his goalies the last 3 games... lol what a moron he starts the back up in two of the 3.
He changes the D pairs and he could not of helped our opponents more with his choices.
He allows Holl, Sanding, and others to pinch without worry of getting benched. So stupid. Watch our opponents they constantly pick on two of our D man foe this.

He is among the best at saying nothing but sounding serious. I have never been a fan of him or his phony boss.

I voted NO.

Matthews & Marner have been awful, but they are far from the major issues with this team right now - the bottom 6 is an absolute mess, replacing Mikheyev, Spezza, and Kase with NAK, ZAR, and Jarnkrok is a significant downgrade, and the blue line is a disaster.

How do we view this as Matthews & Marner's fault?

Not sure I agree with 100% of these comments but I agree with a lot of it. Keefe is acting erratically. Making statements and then retracting them. He set consistent lines during training camp and then changed them very quickly. He has changed lines and players too much this year. It reeks of desperation.

Mitch is for sure he's a gigantic puss

AM I don't think so but who knows
the big puss would be Nylander and Matthews marner will go into the corners and along the boards Nylander runs away from both Matthews he is good in the regular season but never shows up in the playoffs

Mitch and Auston know they are untouchable. They both are top 10 cap hits in the NHL and were given the bread before they won a single thing. They are regular season heroes but need to be surrounded by warriors in order to succeed.

Dubas has surrounded them with guys like Malgin, Engvall, Kerfoot, some of the softest players in the league. Dubas is going strictly by the stats/analytics, but there's no analytics for a pendulous set of balls.
