So in another 6 yrs you don't think that it's possible that we will have a starting goaltender or have added to our forward core. Sure bud.
Wow, what a conceited response. How about the Habs have three good young forward pieces in the NHL, none of which are cemented as first-liners. Basically every cup winner of the last five years (Vegas notwithstanding) went through long-term periods of building and rebuilding around core pieces over a decade+.

Don't think it will be that long. Come back after the draft and will have a better idea to where the team is. Should be a Dach-Newhook kind of trade or two made at that time. A big name free agent signing maybe a year from then if they are doing it right. Other than that look for windows of opportunities Then again keep an eye on the Calgary pick as the farther down the road it is the higher the potential of return is.

What a ridiculous post. Habs have 5 good young forward pieces in the NHL (2 injured). Caufield. Slafkovksy, Suzuki, Dach , Newhook already and one or 2 potential scoring line forwards in the minors.

So a rebuild isn't over till you win a Cup. Well that isn't a conceited response but it sure is a ridiculous definition of rebuild. LMAO.

The one hab that has impressed me the most is the 21 yr old D man Ghule.

Not that I thought Xhekaj was much of a NHL defensemen, his reads were always a little too slow for my liking but what is the plan for him. I know he was coming of an injury but this stay in the AHL is a little longer than I expected.

Also took a lot more shots. Big shot is useless if you are taking one shot per game.

Very true. Though, having seen the habs go from Souray to Subban to weber (with other big shots like MAB, Schneider, and wizniewski in there) designing a PP around trying to force a slapshot from the point can be infuriating. It's great to have as AN option, it sucks when it's THE option.

So is the honeymoon phase over now?
After a rough start to the season he’s become a very good bottom pairing guy for Montreal. That is likely what his ceiling will be and that’s perfectly fine with me considering the presence he brings to the team when he’s on the ice and the left side of Montreals top 4 likely being Hutson and Guhle long term. He will be a good #5 who can fill in top 4 minutes incase of injuries. He just turned 24 last month which is still relatively young for a dman

eh? what does that even mean? Dude remains a young, tough-as-nails, nuclear deterrent 3rd pairing d-men who's been playing responsibly. We know what he is and many teams want him -at a discount for precisely the same reason he's important to the habs. Teams go to war with guys like this.
ain't no honeymoon, it's a f***ing trench war

Why? He's better than he ever been and a perfect fit for the bottom pair
Guess not. lol

Guy is not good, and is replacement level.
