I keep seeing Xhekaj t-shirts at Sports Experts, most lately in Anjou. Maybe sales have slowed since he’s been in Laval.

Not only did the organization give him the chance, it was also the team he loved growing up. I don’t see why he would be upset. He went from undrafted CHL signing straight to the NHL, how many players have done that? Clearly they value him.

I hope you are right but sooner or later there will need to be trades made to move some of our D but it remains to be seen who that will be. If it isn't AX that gets moved it will probably be Harris or Barron or probably both. Kovacevic wasn't drafted by the Habs but is a solid depth defenceman that some team might want at the deadline. Maybe Arber will stay in Laval until the TDL.

Harris and Barron will be the ones to go, Xhekaj is a unicorn that offers something none of our other players can, and he can play.

We're going to have a very hard to play against D core at some point, which is one reason we made that finals run

(plus, we need those guys to compensate for Hutson )

I disagree as the only way Hughes trades any of them is for fair value. If he doesn't get fair value there will be no trade to discuss because he is under no pressure to trade any of them at this point in time. I think Savard and/or Kovacevic are the most likely dmen to be moved before now and the deadline.

If they trade Arber Xhekaj it will be a tough pill for me to swallow. I'm not saying that any player can't be traded for the right price but he has something that is in great demand in the league, talent, heart, size, and toughness. You don't give that away.

They can't trade Wifi because minor leagues won't get nothing for him now.

This kid has the fans adoration!! No doubt about it.....................and we need the toughness in the lineup. That said, the down side is every team we play seems to send an idiot his way, and he seems to have to fight too often. Let's hope that tempers, and he gets smarter about it.....
